RESOLUTION NO. 5053
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM CONSENTING TO THE COM-
MENCEMENT OF PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEX-
ATION OF INHABITED TERRITORY TO THE CITY

have riled with the City Council a written request, requesting
the oonsent of the City Council of the City or Anaheim to the
commencement of proceedings for the annexation of the herein-
after described territory to the City of Anaheim, and stating
that said territo~J is inhabited territory and is oontiguous to
the City of An aheim.; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
it would be to the advantage and benefit of the City of Anaheim
and to the qualified electors residing within said territory to
permit the above named proponents to commence proceedings for
the annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, upon
the conditions hereina~ter set forth; and
WHEREAS, said request has been referred to the City
Planning Comr'lission and its report and recommendations reoeived
reoommending the granting of consent to oommence prooeedings for
annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the consent of the City Council be, and
it is hereby given to said proponents to commenCe proceedings
for the annexation of the hereinafter described territory to the
City of Anaheim, upon the following conditions:
First: That the proposal for annexation of said terri-
tory to the City of Anaheim shall be submitted to and reported
upon to the proponents by th~ Boundary Commission of the County
of Orange, with respect to the definiteness and certainty of
proposed boundaries.

Second: That no petition be oirculated for the annexa-
tion of said territory until after notice of intention to circu-
late such petition has been published as required by law, and a
copy of such notice and an affidavit of publioation has been
filed with the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim within ten (10)
days after the date of publication of said notice, and a resolu-
tion has been adopted by the City Council of the City of Anahetm
acknowledging receipt of said notice and approving the circula-
tion of said petition.
Third: That the circulation of any petition for the
annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim shall not
be commenoed until twenty-one (21) days after the publication
of said notice of intention to 0 irculate the same.
The boundaries ~f the territory for whioh prooeedings
are proposed to be commenced for the annexation thereof to the
City of Anaheim are described as follows:

KATELLA PARK ANNEXATION
A parcel of land being a portion of Sections 19 and 30 of
~ Township 4 South, Range 10 W~st, S. B. B. & M., described as follows:
Beginning at an angle point in the existing Anaheim City
limits line as established by the Midwood Manor Annexation to the City
of Anaheim, passed by Ordinance No. 1164 on August 13, 1957, and fi led
with the Secretary of State, September 16, 1957, said point being
40 feet west of the east line and 30 feet south of the north line
of said Section 30, said point also being in the Garden Grove
City limits line; thence,
1. Westerly along said Garden Grove City 11mits line to
the point of intersection with the southerly prolongation of the east
line of Tract No. 2111 as shown on a map in Book 61, Pages 46,47,
and 48 of Miscellaneous Maps In the office of the County Recorder of
Orange County, State of California; thence,
2. Northerly along said southerly prolongation and east line
of said Tract No. 2111 to the point of intersection with the south
line of the Nt of the SE* of said Section 19; thence,
3. Easterly along the last mentioned south line to the
point of intersection with the existing City limits line of the City
of Anaheim; thence,
4. Southerly along the last mentioned City limits line to the
point of beginning.
