A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE ANAHEIM GENERAL PLAN
DESIGNATED AS AMENDMENT N0. 362, EXHIBIT "A."
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the
recommendations of the Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim, adopted a General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, on the 26th day of April, 1999, the City
Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did hold a public
hearing to consider a General Plan Amendment. The General Plan
Amendment does consider changing the land use designation for an
irregularly-shaped 16.3-acre property located at the northwest
corner of La Palma Avenue and Weir Canyon Road, with frontages of
1,643 feet on the north side of La Palma Avenue and 810 feet on
the west side of Weir Canyon Road (8200 East La Palma Avenue);
and
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Planning
Commission did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC99-67 containing a
report of its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at
said hearing, and recommending that said Amendment to the General
Plan designated as Amendment No. 362 be adopted by the City
Council changing the land use designation for the aforedescribed
area to "COMMERCIAL PROFESSIONAL" in accordance with Exhibit "A";
and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings and recommendations of the City
Planning Commission, the City Council did fix the 15th day of
June, 1999, as the time, and the City Council Chamber in the
Civic Center as the place for a public hearing on said proposed
Amendment No. 362 and did give notice thereof in the manner and
as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct
such public hearing and did give all persons interested therein
an opportunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports
and did consider the recommendations of the City Planning
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment No. 362 changing the land use designation in the
aforedescribed area in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file with
the City should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
`~ the City of Anaheim that Amendment No. 362 to the General Plan
changing the land use designation for the aforedescribed area to
"COMMERCIAL PROFESSIONAL" in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file
with the City be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be,
and it is hereby, instructed to amend the General Plan Map to
conform to General Plan Amendment No. 362 as herein adopted and
approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 15th day of June, 1999.
