RESOLUTION NO. 4416
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM GRANTING VARIANCES NOS. 916, 917,
918 AND 919.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive petitions from the lessee and/or agent of
certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, described as follows:
VARIANCE NO. 916: At the Southeast corner of Walnut
Avenue and Ball Road.
VARIANCE NO. 917: At the Northeast corner of Ball Road
and West Street.
VARIANCE NO. 918: At the Northwest corner of Walnut and
Katella Avenues.
VARIANCE NO. 919: QD the South side of Lincoln Avenue,
west of Euclid Avenue (1800 West
Lincoln Avenue).
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold public
hearings at the City Ha~l in the City of Anaheim upon said pe-
titions on February 17, 1958, notices of which said public hearings
were duly given as required by law and the provisions of Section
9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investi-
gation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and after due
consideration of all evidence and reports offered at said hearings,
did adopt its Resolutions Nos. 188, 189, 190 and 191, recommending
to the City Council of the City of Anaheim that Variances Nos.
916, 917, 918 and 919 be granted upon the conditions stated in
said resolutions; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that:
1. There are exceptional or extraordinary circum-
stances or conditions applicable to the property
involved or to the intended use of the property
that do not apply generally to the property or
class of use in the same vicinity and zone.
2. That such variances are necessary for the pre-
servation and enjoyment of a substantial property
right possessed by other property in the same
vicinity and zone and denied to the property in
question.

3. That the granting of such variances will not be
materially detrimental to the public welfare or
injurious to the property or improvements in such
vicinity and zone in which the property is located.
4. That the granting of such variances will not ad-
versely affect the comprehensive general zoning
plan.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that conditional zoning variances be, and the
same are hereby granted to CUNNINGHAM CO. BUILDERS AND CONTRS.,
500 South Walnut Street, Anaheim, California, to erect a 10-foot
by 20-foot Temporary Subdivision Directional Sign at each of the
locations hereinabove designated, upon the following conditions:

Size of sign to be 10 feet by 20 feet.
Sign to be at least 6 feet off the ground.
Name of company to be on sign.
Permit to be obtained from the Building
Department.
Maximum period for installation and mainte-
nance of sign, six (6) months from date
hereof.
Minimum setback of 10 feet from right-of-way
line required.
Sign to be set back 25 feet from corner.
No sign variance shall be allowed for tracts
outside the City Limits.
Permit fee $25.00 per sign.

The City Council hereby reserves the right to revoke
such variance permits for good cause or failure of said lessee,
its successors or assigns, to comply with the Anaheim Municipal
Code and regulations and the conditions herein. Said Variances
Nos. 916, 917, 918 and 919 are granted for the term ofs1x (6)
months from date hereof.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 18th day of March, 1958.
