RES-2024-079RESOLUTION NO. 2024- 0 7 9 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING THE PERSONNEL RULES AND POLICIES COVERING NON -REPRESENTED FULL-TIME AND PART-TIME EMPLOYEES TO UPDATE SECTION 6.10 AND REPEALING RESOLUTION NO. 2024-007 WHEREAS, Section 1.05.020.0103 of the Anaheim Municipal Code requires the Human Resources Director to maintain and administer a position classification and compensation plan; and WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director has recommended in a staff report dated July 16, 2024, that the need exists to modify the pay schedule for the non -represented, part- time Fire Cadet classification to maintain parity with the Police Cadet pay schedule and to be effective the first day of the pay period following City Council adoption of the 2024 tentative agreement with the Anaheim Municipal Employees Association, Police Cadet Unit (AMEA); and WHEREAS, terms and conditions of employment for employees serving in classifications that are not represented by a recognized bargaining unit are set forth in the Personnel Rules on Policies Covering Non -Represented Full -Time and Part -Time Employees (Personnel Rules) were last updated in its entirety by City Council Resolution No. 2024-007; and WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that modifying such pay policies for classifications designated as Non -Represented Part -Time is in the best interests of the City of Anaheim. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim as follows: SECTION 1. That effective the first day of the pay period following City Council adoption of the 2024 tentative agreement with the AMEA, Appendix F — Non -Represented Part Time Classifications of the Personnel Rules, is hereby amended by modifying the rate of compensation for the following classification: Salary Range Salary Range Classification (E�0.07/19/2024a (_E 06/20/2025) Fire Cadet $21.75 - $23.25 $24.75 - $26.25 SECTION 2. Except as amended herein, the Personnel Rules and Policies Covering Non - Represented Full -Time and Part -Time Employees shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 3. The Human Resources Director shall be delegated with the authority to publish the authorized salary schedule in said Personnel Rules in any format meeting the requirements of California Code of Regulations section 570.5. SECTION 4. Resolution No. 2024-007 is repealed effective July 19, 2024. SECTION 5. The City Clerk shall certify the adoption of this Resolution.
