RESOLUTION NO. 67R-74
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COm~CIL OF THE
CITY OF Al~AHEIJ>l DENYING CONDITIONAL USE
PERIYlIT NO. 906.
WHEREAS, the City Planning COIT~ission of the City of
Anaheim did receive a request for a conditional use permit from
VOGE, INC. and WILLIAM H. GREBEL, 7601 Crenshaw Boulevard, Los
Angeles, California, to establish an automobile service station
at the intersection of a collector street and a primary street,
within 75 feet of a residential zone (Sections l8.40.060(c) and
18.64.020(5) of the Anaheim Municipal Code), and permitting a
\lTai ver of the 6 --foot lLlasonry wall requirement on the following
described property situated in the City of Anaheim, County of
Orange, State of California, to wit:
That portion of Lot 16 of Anaheim Extension, in the City
of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
as shown on a map of survey made by William Hamel and
filed in the Office of the County Recorder of Los
Angeles County, California, a copy of which is shown
in Book 3, Page 163, et seq., entitled "Los Angeles
County Haps, 11 records of said Orange County, described
as follows:
Beginning at a point on the center line of South Street,
North 740 36' 0511 East 111.50 feet from the northwest
corner of the land conveyed by deed recorded
October 28, 1947 in Book 1590, Page 187 of Official
Records, said corner being South 740 36' OS" West
373.10 feet from the intersection of said center line
with the center line of Placentia Avenue; thence
South 150 45' 25" East 188.75 feet, parallel with the
West line of said land to the northwesterly line of
the land described in the deed to lvilliam H. Grebel,
et ux., recorded July 3, 1948 in Book 1663, pages 397
and 398 of Official Records; thence North 740 36' 05"
East to the northeast corner of said land, thence
North 00 05' 15" East 195.84 feet along said center
line of Placentia Avenue to said center line of South
Street; thence South 740 36' OS'; '/Jest 261.60 feet to
the point of beginning.
EXCEPT that portion of said land included within
South Street, as shown on said map.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning COIrunission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of .lmaheim upon
said request on DeceIT~er 19, 1966, notices of which said public
hearing were duly given as required by law and the provisions
of Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS said C01~lission, after due inspection, inves-
tigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and after
due consiaeration of all evidence and reports offered at said
hearing, did adopt its Resolution No. PC66-l78, denying Condi-
tional Use Permit No. 906; and

WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty-two days from the
date of the adoption of said resolution, the City Council did
elect, upon its own motion, to review the action of the City
Planning Commission in denying said conditional use permit and
did thereupon fix the 17th day of January, 1967, as the time
and the Council Char~er in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim
as the place for a public hearing upon said conditional use
permit, and notices of such public hearing were duly given as
required by law and the provisions of Title 18, Chapter 18.76
of the lillaheim Municipal Code, and
WHEHEAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hear-
ing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and did receive evidence and reports; and
W-HEREAS, the City Council does find, after careful
consideration of the recommendations of the City Planning Com-
mission and all evidence and reports offered at said hearing,
that Conditional Use Permit No. 906 should be denied.
NOVv, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the city of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning COMuis-
sion denying Conditional Use Permit No. 906,be, and the same is
hereby sustained, and that the request of VOGE, INC. and
WILLIAM H. GREBEL for a conditional use permit to establish an
automobile service station at the intersection of a collector
street and a primary street, within 75 feet,of a residential
zone (Sections18.40.060(c) and 18.64.020(5) of the Anaheim
l-iunicipal Code), and permitting a waiver of "the 6-foot masonry
wall requirement, on the property hereinbefore described, be,
and the same is hereby denied.
THE FOP~GOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 31st day of January, 1967.
