A RESOWTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ACKNOWIEDGING. ,:RECEIPT OF A PETITION
FOR THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED
TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, DESIGNATING
THE TERRITORY AS THE
J.W1NOLIA-WINS1'ON
ANNEXATION, DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE
TERRITORY PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING
NOTICE OF THE DAY, BOOR AND PLACE WERE AND
WBEI ANY PERSON OWNING REAL PRopERTY WITHIN
SUCH TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY
APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNOIL AND SHOW CAUSE
WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOUID NOT BE ANNEXED TO
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM.
WHEREAS, tb Citr Council of the Citr 9f Anaheim did
on the 18tb dar of' February , 19~, receive a

WHEJlEA.S, before the filing of' said petition, the pro-
posal for the annexation of the territorr hereiMfter described
to the Citr of' Anahe1m was sul:Ditted to the Boundary Commission
of the Cauntr or Orange, State of California, and reported upon

eertaintr of the proposed boundaries, and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said
Citr of Anahe1m is situated in the Cauntr of OraJ:lBe, state of
Call1'ornia, and is contiguOlUl to the Citr of Anaheim and is '\m-
inhabited territory, and said petition contained a description
of said territory in words and figures as hereinafter in this
aesolution desoribed, and
WHEREAS, the Citr Council finds frOJll evidence and re-
ports received that at the t1me of the fili&1 and reoeipt of said
petition~ it was and now is signed b7 owners of not iess than one-
fourth ('t) of the land in the territory '07 area and '07 assessed
value in the territory proposed to be annexed, aooording to the
last preceding equalized oauntr assessment roll, and

WHEREAS, the Citr Council finds frOJll evidence and re-
ports received and from said petition that at the t1me of the
filing and presentation of said petition that said new territory
proposed to be annexed. to said Citr of Amahe1m did not form a
part of anr municipal corporation and that said territory was un-
inhabited and is contiguous to the Citr of Anahe1m, and
WHEREAS, the Citr Council finde from eaid petition and
evidenoe and reports received that the boundaries of the territorr
so proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are as follows,

A parcel of land being portions of the P. A. Stanton Tract as shown on
a map in Book 5, Pages 23 and 24 of Miscellaneous Haps, filed in the office of the
County Recorder of Orange County, California, and Section 24, Township 4 South,
Range 11 West, and Section 19, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, S. B. B. & M., more
particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point in the existing Anaheim City Limits line as established
by the Ball-Dale Annexation to the City of Anaheim by Annexation No. 74 and passed
by Ordinance No. ]099 on November 13, 1956, and filed with the Secretary of State
on December 13, 1956, said point being in the southerly line of the ~ of the ~ of
the Nt of said Section 24, and distant 30 feet west as measured at right angles
from the east line of said Section 24; thence,
10 Southerly along a line parallel with and 30 feet west of said east line
and along the City Limits of the City of Stanton to the south line of the ~ of
the Northeast * of said Section 24; thence,
2, Easterly along said south line and the south line of the ~ of the
northwest * of said Section ]9, to the point of intersection with the easterly
right-of-way line of that certain 40 foot un-named road lying easterly of Lots 16,
15 and 13 of said P. A. Stanton Tract; thence,
3. Northerly along said easterly right-of-way line to a point in the north
line of Lot 7 of said Po A. Stanton Tract, said point also being in the existing
Anaheim City Limits line as established by said Ba]l-Dale Annexation; thence,

northerly and westerly along said Anaheim City limits line to the point of beginning.

NOWt THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY cotmCIL OF .
THE CITY OF ANABElM;
That such proposed annexation be designated as MACiROJ.I.A-
WINSTON ANNEXATION, and that notioe of suoh pro-
posed annexation be hereby given as hereinafter provided..;
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a publio hearing shall be
had upon the date set, not less than forty (40) nor more than
sixty (60) days after the passage of this Resolution, unless the
owner or owners of all of the territory to be annexed have
petitioned for annexation or filed their oonsents to suoh annex~
ation, in writing, with the City Counoil, in wbioh event the
hearing shall be set not less than fifteen (15) days nor more
than sixty (60) days after the passage of this Resolution.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Counoil does
find that the owner or owners of all of the territory proposed
to be annexed have ~ petitioned for annexation or filed
their oonsents to such annexation, in writing, with the City
CounciL
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the ...!.!i.. day of APri 1 ,
19A, at the hour of 7:00 o'clock~. , at the City Counoil
Chambers in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim be, and the same
is hereby, fixed as the day, hour and plaoe when and where the
City Council will hear protests made by any owner or owners of
real property wi thin the territory proposed to be annexed; and that
at any time before the hour set for hearing objections, any owner
of property within said territory may file with the City Clerk a
written protest against the annexation. Said protest shall be in
wri ting and shall state the name of the owner of the property ,
affected and the description and area of the property in general
terms.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and she is
hereby, authorized and directed to cause a copy of this Resolution
to be published at least twice, but not oftener than once a week,
in a newspaper of general oirculation, published in the City, to
wit; The Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange County, California, _'
and also in a newspaper of general circulation, published outside
of the City, but in the County of Orange, in which is looated the
territory hereinabove proposed to be annexed to the City of
Anaheim., to wit: The Placen.tla Cour ier ; and that
such publication shall be completed at least twenty (20) days
prior to the date of hearing hereinabove specified.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed
to cause -written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed
to each person to whom land wi thin the territory proposed to be
annexed is assessed, in the last equalized county assessment roll
available, on the date the prooeedings were initiated, at the .
addre8s shown on said assessment roll or as known to said City
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of lands in whioh he has any interest, either
legal or equitable, with said Clerk} and in the event that,leI.d .
within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of '"
Anaheim is owned by a County, the City Clerk of the City of
Anaheim shall also cause written notice of such proposed annex-
ation to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of suoh County.
The foregoing notices shall be given not less than twenty (20)
days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
