Thomas Gorham, Please reject any development and/or permit requests for the owner(s) of property 1204 North Brookhurst Ave located on my block. I live 5 houses away from that property and have resided at my Anaheim home for over 14 years. Today and within the last two years, I have been extremely frustrated and concerned about my family's safety in my neighborhood. I cannot walk in my block for fear that transient and unhouse people will harm me or my seven-year-old son. It is hard to imagine that the city of Anaheim would grant building development requests to the owner of the unsecured property of 1204 Brookhurst Ave, given the owner's irresponsible track record and disregard for keeping our neighborhood safe. This is especially appalling since I presume that this property has cost the city a wealth of money for the resources allotted to handle issues at the property (police, dispatchers, firefighters, human waste clean-up services, code enforcement, etc.). In calling the Police and Code enforcement for incidents we witness in our back ally, my husband and I are met with the same rhetoric about how the owner has placed locks on their property and does not wish to dispatch the police for any breaking and entering of their property. The locks do not work because I see at least 3-5 people walking in and out of that property (through the garage and gates) daily! This shows that the owner does not care for their property and disregards the concerns of the surrounding neighbors and their families. My husband has made an alarming number of crime reports to the Anaheim police and the Anaheim citations department regarding incidents in the unsecured lot at 1204 North Brookhurst Ave. I'm only listing a few here, but not all.
