RESOLUTION NO. 4601
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY ConNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIP! DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO MAKE
CERTAIN IMPROVEMENTS UNDER 'i'HE AUTHORITY OF
THE S'l'REET LIGHTING ACT OF 1931, DESCRIBING
THE IMPROVEMENTS TO BE MADE, NAMING THE STREETS
UPON WHICH THE IMPROVEMENTS ARE TO BE MADE,
REFERRING TO THE REPORT OF THE SUPERINTENDENT
OF STREETS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CITY
CLERK, FIXING THE PERIOD OF TIME FOR WHICH THE
IMPROVEMENTS ARE TO BE MADE, AND SETTING A TIME
AND PLACE FOR HEARING PROTESTS.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim 18 of
the opinion that public interest or oonvenience requires that a
portion of the street lighting system be maintained and serviced
upon certain streets in the City of Anahetm, as hereinafter set
forth; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did require the Superi1'ltendent
of Streets to make and file with the City Clerk a written report
with regard to the contemplated tmprovements; and
WHEREAS, said report of the Superintendent of streets
was approved by the City C ounc 11 of the City of Anaheim on the
11th day of June, 1958, by Resolution No. 4516, and filed with
the City Clerk;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the 01 ty of Anahetm, as follows:
1. Public interest or convenience does require that
improvements be made to certain property in the
City of Anaheim, and the City Council of the City
of Anahetm does hereby declare its intention to
make the following desoribed tmprovementl under
the authority of the Street Lighting Act of 1931.
2. The iInprovemen ts to be made are the maintenance
and servicing of an ornamental type street 11sht-
ing system along and upon the following streets
within or along the boundaries of Tract No. 2575
in the City of Anaheim, to wit:
a. Ninth Street
b. Wakefield Avenue
c. Orangewood Avenue
d. Gail Lane
e. Margie Lane
f. Tonia Lane
g. Norma Lane
h. Janette Lane
i. Ricky Avenue

3. A report of the Superintendent of Streets haa been
approved by the City Council of the City ot Anaheim
and is on file with the Oity Clerk of the Cit,. of
Anahetm, designated .Street Lighting Maintenance
District 1958-1." Said report contains an estimate
of the cost of the improvements and i1'lcidental ex-
penses for the period of time the improvements are
to be made, a diagram or map showing the streets
affected and Showing each lot or parcel of land

abutting such streets, a propoled asse.~ent of
the total amount of the estimated cost and expenaes
upon the several lots or pare,e.ls of land shoWll on
the diagram or map in proportion to the estimated
benefits to be received by each lot or parcel of
land for the period of time of the improvementa,
and plan. and specifications setting out the general
type of street lighting ays~em and the location of
the lights to be serviced and maintained; and refer-
ence to such report is hereby made as though set
forth in full herein, and all persons are directed
to such report on file with the City Clerk for more
partlcularso
The period of time for which the im~rovements are
to be made is hereby set at five (5) years to
commence when the street lighting system is fully
inatalled which shall be on or about the 1st
day of Age:ust ~ 19-.2L, and to continue
for five (Sf years from. sucE:""aite.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 8th day of Jul.y-,
1958, at the hour of 7:00 o'clock P.M., in the Council Chamber of
the City- lIa11 in the City of Anaheim, 11 hereby declared as the
day, hour and place, when and where any and all persons having any
objectiona to the proposed improvements or to the asses~ent as
.et forth in the report of the Superintendent of Street., may-
appear before the legislative body and show cause why- the propoaed
imprareme.ta should not be carried out in accordance with this
Resolution of Intention, or the asses~ents made in accordance
111 th the report of the Superintenden t of S tree ts on file wi th the
Ci t;y Olerk. Protests must be in writing and must contain a de-
acription of the property in Which each signer thereof ia inter-
ested, and be delivered to the City Clerk not later than the time
set for the hearing. Protests may be against the proposed im-
provements or against the estimated amount of the assessment.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Superintendent of Streets
of the City of Anaheim shall oause notice of the improvements and
of the passage of this Resolution of Intention to be conspicuously
posted along the lines of the contemplated improvements, at not
.ore than 300 feet apart, but not less than three (3) in all, and
lueh posting shall be fully completed at least ten (lO) days before
the date set for hearing of protests or objections. The contents
of such notice shall be in conformity with the requirements of
the Street Lighting Act of 1931.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby directed to publish this Resolutioa
of IntentIon by insertion in the Anaheim Bulletin, a daily news-
paper of general oirculation, printed, published and circulated
in the City of Anaheim. Such publication shall be not leu than
ten (lO) days prior to the date of public hearing as set forth in
this Resolution.
