A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY C0UNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ORDERING THAT A STREET COMMONLY
KNOWN AS VILLA PLACE AND AN EASEMENT FOR STREET
PURPOSES UPON, OVER, ACROSS AND ALONG THE
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY NOT BE
ABANDONED.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim, a
municipal corporation of the State of California, did on the
27th day of May, 1958, pass its Ordinance No. 1245, entitled,
"AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DECLARING THE INTENTION
OF THE CITY COUNCIL TO VACATE AND ABANDON VILLA PLACE AND AN
EASEMENT FOR STREET PURPOSES UFDN, OVER, ACROSS AND ALONG THE
HEREINAFTER DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY; RESERVING AN EASEMENT FOR
PUBLIC UTILITY PURFDSES OVER, UNDER AND ACROSS A PORTION OF
SAID PROPERTY; FIXING A TIME AND PLACE FOR A HEARING THEREON;
AND DIRECTING THE FDSTING OF NOTICES THEREOF AND THE PUBLICATION
OF THIS ORDINANCE," whereby it declared its intention to vacate
and abandon and close to public use a street commonly known as
Villa Place and an easement for street purposes upon, over,
across and along the hereinafter described property under the
provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941; and
WHEREAS, the City Council in said Ordinance referred
to a map on file in the Office of the City Clerk for further
particulars as to the proposed vacation, abandonment and closing
to public use of said street commonly known as Villa Place and
easement for street purposes; and
WHEREAS, said City Council did by said Ordinance fix
the 11th day of June, 1958 at 7:00 o'clock P.M. in the Council
Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the time and
place for a public hearing on the matter of such vacation,
abandonment and closing to public use of said street and ease-
ment for street purposes, for all persons interested in or ob-
Jecting to such proposed vacation, abandonment and closing to
public use to appear and show cause, if any they had, why such
street and easement for street purposes should not be vacated,
abandoned and closed to public use; and

WHEREAS, said Ordinance was published on the 31st day
of May, 1958, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of
Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California; and
WHEREAS, by said Ordinance said City Council directed
that notices of the passage of said Ordinance and of the time
and place of the hearing on the matter of the vacation, abandon-
ment and closing to public use of said street and easement for
street purposes be posted conspicuously along the lines of said
street and easement proposed to be vacated, not more than 300 feet
apart, at least ten (10) days before said hearing~ and not less
than three (3) such notices should be posted; and
WHEREAS, Robert Aguilera did on the 6th day of June,
1958, post conspicuously not less than three such notices along
the lines of said street and easement, which notices were posted
less than 300 feet apart, and were posted at least ten (10) days
before said hearing; and

WHEREAS, said City Council did on the 17th day of
June, 1958, at 7:00 o'clock P.M., at said City Hall, conduct a
public hearing on the matter of whether said street commonly
known as Villa Place and easement for street purposes, herein-
after described, should be vacated, abandoned and closed to
public use, and at said hearing did hear evidence thereon; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from all the evidence
submitted that said street and easement for street purposes,
described in the Ordinance of Intention and hereinafter described,
are necessary for present or prospective street purposes, and
that an order vacating such street and easement for street pur-
poses, as described in the Ordinance of Intention, should not be
made by the City Council.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim:
1. That it finds from all the evidence submitted that
said street, commonly known as Villa Place, and the easement for
street purposes described in said Ordinance, are necessary for
present or prospective public purposes.
2. That it does hereby order that said street, common-
ly known as Villa Place, and said easement for street purposes
not be vacated, abandoned or closed to publiC use.
3. That said street and easement for street purposes,
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, are more particularly described as follows:
A portion of a subdivision of Lot 34 of Anaheim
Extension, as shown on a map filed in Book 3,
Page 229 of Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles
County, California, more particularly described
as follows:
1. Beginning at the Southwest corner of Lot l3
of said subdivision of Lot 34 of Anaheim Extension;
thence N. 150 30' 000 W. along the West lines of
Lots 13, 12, 11 aQd 10 of said subdivision to the
Northwest corner of said Lot 10; thence,
2. S. 890 01' 51" w. 37.87 feet to the Northeast
corner of Lot 6 of said subdivision; thence,
3. S. 150 30' 00" E. along the East lines of Lots
6, 7, 8 and 9 to the Southeast corner of said Lot 9
of said subdivision; thence,
4. N. 740 29' 45" E. 36.67 feet to the point of
beginning.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 17th day of June, 1958.
