A RESOLUf ION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM DENYING VARIANCE NO. 963.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City
of Anaheim did receive a petition for zoning variance from
Charles R. Laraway, the purchaser, under contract, and his
authorized agent, of certain real property situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, de-
scribed as follows:
The east 12-1/2 acres of the southwest quarter
of the northeast quarter of Section 8, Township
4 South, Range 10 West, in the Rancho Los
Coyotes, County of Orange, State of California,
as said northeast quarter is shown on a map
filed in Book 13, Page 27 of Record of Surveys,
in the Office of the County Recorder of said
County.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold
a public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim on
May 5, 1958, notices of which said public hearing were duly
given, as required by law and the provisions of Section
9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Ci~ Planning Commission, after due
inspection, investigation and studies made by itself and in
its behalf, and after due consideration of all evidence and
reports offered at said hearing, did adopt Resolution No.
253--Series 1957-58, denying Variance No. 963; and
WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty (20) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, a written appeal
was filed with the City Council of the City of Anaheim pro-
testing the action of the City Planning Commission denying
said variance, and said appeal was set for public hearing on
the 17th day of June, 1955, at 7:00 o'clock P.M. at the City
Hall in the City of Anaheim, and notice of such public hear-
ing was duly given as required by law and the provisions of
Section 9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, after due investigation and studies made
by itself and in its behalf, and after due consideration of
all evidence and reports offered at said hearing, the City
Council does find and determine that:
1. There is no substantial property right
possessed by other property in the same
vicinity and zone and denied the subject
property.

2. It appears that the subJect property can
be adequately developed and used under
the present zone.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning
Commission denying said Variance No. 963, requesting a waiver

of the minimum lot sizes and frontage requirements in tentative
Tract No. 3095, into which it is proposed to subdivide the
hereinabove described property, be, and the same is hereby
sustained, and that Variance No. 963 be, and the same is hereby
denied.
THE POREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 17th day of June, 1958.

adopted at an adjourned regular meeting of the City Council held
on the 17th day of June, 1958, by the following vote of the
members thereof:
AYES: COUNCILMEN: Pearson, Borden, Fry and Coons.
NOES: COUNCILMEN: None.
ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: Schutte.
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said resolution on the 17th day of
June, 1958.
