A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY
TO THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, ON ITS OWN MOTION;
DESIGNATING THE TERRITORY AS THE
MURRAY MANOR ANNEXAT I~N
DESCRIBING THE BOUNDARIES 0 THE TERRITORY
PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED AND GIVING NOTICE OF
THE DAY, HOUR AND PLACE WHERE AND WHEN ANY
PERSON OWNING REAL PROPERTY WITHIN SUCH
TERRITORY SO PROPOSED TO BE ANNEXED MAY
APPEAR BEFORE THE CITY COUNCIL AND SHOW CAUSE
WHY SUCH TERRITORY SHOULD NOT BE ANNEXED TO
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. .
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim has in-
vestigated certain uninhabited territory as hereinafter set forth
and does find that such territory is so situated as to require
facilities of the City of Anaheim to pass through such territory,
and does find that such territory can be easily served with the
facilities of the City of Anaheim and does further find that
service of other areas in the City of Anaheim will be facilitated
by annexation of such uninhabited territory, and that annexation
of such territory will be in the best interest of the City of
Anaheim and the best interest of the area to be annexed; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does hereby determine that
proceedings for the annexation of the hereinafter aescribed
uninhabited territory should be initiated by the City Council on
its own initiative; and
WHEREAS, the proposal for the annexation of the terri-
tory hereinafter described to the City of Anaheim was submitted
to the Boundary Commission of the County of Orange, State of
California, and reported upon by said Boundary Oommission with
respect to the definiteness and certainty of the proposed
boundaries; and
WHEREAS, said territory proposed to be annexed to said
City of Anaheim is situated in the County of Orange, State of
California and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim and is
uninhabited territory; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from evidence and
reports received that said new territory proposed to be annexed
to said City of Anaheim does not form a part of any municipal
corporation and that said territory is uninhabited and is con-
tiguous to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the boundaries
of the territory SO proposed to be annexed to the City of Anaheim
are as follows, to wit:

MURRAY MANOR ANNEXAT ION

A parcel of land located in the County of
Orange, State of California, being a portion of the
Northeast 1/4 of Section 7, Township 4 South, Range
10 West, S.B.B. & M., described as follows:
Beginning at the Southeast corner of Tract
No. 1202 as said tract is shown on a map filed in Book
37, Pages 27 and 28 of Miscellaneous Maps in the Office
of the County Recorder of said Orange County; thence,
Northerly following the east line of said
Tract 1202 to the point of intersection with the exist-
ing City Limits line of the City of Anaheim as estab-
lished by the Gilbert Street Annexation to the City of
Anaheim, passed by Ordinance No. 868 on November 2~, 1953,
and filed with the Secretary of State January 11, 1954,
said point of intersection also being in the South-
westerly right of way line of the Southern Pacific
Railroad; thence,
following said existing City Limits line of
the City of Anaheim southeasterly to a point, said
point being in a line parallel with and 30 feet west
as measured at right angles from the monumented center
line of Brookhurst Street; thence,

Southerly along the last mentioned parallel
line 262.4 feet to a point, said point being the begin-
ning of a curve concave northwesterly, having a radius
of 470 feet; thence,
Along said curve through a central angle of 150
44" to a point, said point being in the north line of
South half of the NEt of said Section 7; thence,
Westerly along said north line to the point of
beginning.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM:

That the proposed annexation be, and it is hereby,
initiated on the motion of the City Council of the City of Anaheim
and that euch propoeed annexation be designated as the
MURRAY MANOR ANNEXAT ION and that notice of such
proposed annexation be given as hereinafter provided.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a pUblic hearing shall
be held upon the date set, not less than forty (40) nor more than
sixty (68) days after the passage of this Resolution, unless the
owner or owners of all of the territory to be annexed file their
consent to such annexation, in writing, with the City Council.
in which event the hearing shall be set at any time after com-
plianoe with Section 35311 of the Government Code.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
find that the owner or owners of all of the territory proposed to
be annexed have filed their consent to such annexation. in
writing, with the City Council.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the 22nd day of
July . 1 9-S.8.. , at the hour of 7:000'clock P. M.,
at the City Council Ohambers in the City Hall of the City of
Anaheim be, and the same is hereby, fixed as the day, hour and
place when and where the City Council will hear protests made by

hearing objections. any owner of property within said territory
may file with the City Clerk a written protest against the annexa-
tion. Said protest shall be in writing and shall state the name
of the owner of the property affected and the desoription and area.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk be, and
she is hereby, authorized and direoted to cause a copy of this
Resolutlonto be published at least twice, but not oftener than
once a week, in a newspaper of general circulation, published in
the City, to wit: The Anaheim Bulletin of Anaheim, Orange County,
California, and also in a newspaper of general ciroulation.
published outside of the City, but in the County of Orange, in
which is located the territory hereinabove proposed to be annexed
to the City of Anaheim, to wit: The Placentia Courier of
Placentia, Orange County, California; and that such publication
shall be completed at least twenty (20) days prior to the date
of hearing hereinabove specified.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Oity Clerk of the
Oity of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and directed to
cause written notice of such proposed annexation to be mailed to
each person to whom land within the territory proposed to be
annexed is assessed, in the last equalized county assessment roll
available, on the date the proceedings were initiated, at the
addresg shown on said assessment roll or as known to said City
Clerk, and to any person who has filed his name and address and
the designation of lands in which he has any interest, either
legal or equitable, with said Clerk; and in the event that land
within the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of
Anaheim 1s owned by a County, the Oity Olerk of the City of

Anaheim shall also oause written notioe of suoh proposed annexa-
tion to be mailed to the Board of Supervisors of such Oounty.
The foregoing notices shall be given not less than twenty (20)
days before the first public hearing on the proposed annexation.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
