or convenience does require that ornllinental street lighting be
installed 11pon certain streets in the City of Anaheim, as here-
inafter set forth, and that the contemplated work is of more
than local or ordinary benefit to the abutting property owners
and if' of benefit to a diBtrict, and the public interest will

NOW, THl~RSFORE, BE IT RESOL'lED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim, as follows:
1. Public interef't or convenience does require that
improvements be nade to certain pronerty in the
City of Anaheim, and the City Council of the
City of Anaheim does hereby declare its intention
to make the folloTr!inG described improvements under
t:,e authority of the Improvement Act of 1911.
2. The improveMents to be ~1de are the installation
of polee, posts, ~ires, pipes, conduits, tunnels,
lA.mns, c~nd other sui table or ne cessary appliances
for the 2lUrYlOSe of lighting streets; and such im-
Ylroveme nt s ShELll be of the ornamental type, from
City of ~n~heim uesign No. 730, Standard G31-
B2-6, wi th !~odlfic~Ltion No. 14 and L78 or equal,
usin:c PE,cific Union r-Ietal incandescent fixtures.
The lighting project shall consist of anproxi-
mately 26 lights. Snecific plans and specifi-
cations for the imnroveLlent are on file in the
City Engineer's office of the City of Anaheim,
and reference is herpby made to such plans and
8~ecifications BE th~ugh set forth in full herein.
The total estimateu cost of such improvements,
including all incident,",l expenses, is $12,500.00.
3. The iml)rOVenente shall be insthl1ed wi thin the
bou'1daries of Tr6.ct No. 2575 in the City of

It is hereby declared that the improvements
are more than local or ordinary public benefit
to the abutting property owners, and the City
Council of the City of Anaheim does hereby
declare that the district to be benefited by the
work is described as follows:

All of the lots within Tract No. 2575 in the
boundaries of such district are conti~~ous with and the
same as the boundaries of Tract No. 2575, and such district
is declared to be the district benefited by the work and to
be assessed to pay the cost and expenses of the improvements.
BE II' B1JRTHEh RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Anaheim does hereby declare its election to agree to
purchase, out of the General Funds of the City of Anaheim, an
assignment of the warrant assessment and diagram upon delivery
thereof to the contractor in accordance with Section 5135 of the
Streets and Highways Code of the State of California.
AND BE I'I' FU ETHEF RESOLVED that the City Council or
the City of Anaheim does hereby declare that the public interest
will not be served by allowing the property owners to take the
contract.
AND BE IT FURThnR RESOLVED that the lOth day of June,
1958, at the hour of 7:00 O'clock p. M. in the Council Chamber
of the City Hall in the City or Anaheim, is hereby declared as
the day, hour and place, when and where any and all persons
havinr any objections to the proposed work may appear before
the legislative body and show cause why the proposed work
should not be carried out in accordance with this Resolution
of Intention.
AND BE IT FURTHER RE~OLVED that the Superintendent of
Streets shall cause notice of the impr'ovements to be conspicuously
posted along the Ijne of the contemplated work in accordance
with the provisions of the Improvement Act or 1911.
BE I'I' liURTHER RESOLVED that the City. Clerk or the City
of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, directed to give notice by
mail of the adoption of this Resolution of Intention in accord-
ance with the provisions of the Improvement Act or 1911; and
the Cit~ Clerk is further directed to publish a copy of this
Resolution of Intention in the Anaheim Bulletin, such publica-
tion to be in conformity with the Improvement Act of 1911.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 6th day of May, 1958.
