RESOLUTION NO. 4693
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COU}!CIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DENYING VA...!UANCE NO. 1001.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive a petition for zoning variance from the
owner of certain real property situated in the City of Anaheim,
County of Orange, State of California. described as follows:
Let 231 of Tract No. 2377. as per map recorded
in Booh 75, Pages 29 to 35, inclusive. of Miscel-
laneous Maps in the Office of the County Recorder
of said Orange County.
(Said property is located at 819 South Euclid
Avenue. Anaheim.)
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public he;aring at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon
said petition on July 7, 1958, notices of which said public
hearing were duly given as required by la\v and the provisions
of Section 9200.17 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection. in-
vestigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf. and
after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered
at said hearing. did adopt Resolution No. 13 Series 1958-59,
recommending to the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
Variance No. 1001 be granted; and
WHEREAS. thereafter, within twenty (20) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, the City Council
did elect, upon its own motion, to review the action taken by
thE City Planning COlnrissivn in grantino said variance and
did set 2, public hearing therE:on to be held on the 12th day of
August, 1958, at 7:00 o'clocJ, F.~1. in the City Hall in the
Ci ty of Anaheim, and not ice of such pub1 ie llCar ing was duly
given as required by law and the provisions of Section 9200.17
of the P..nateim Municipal Code; and
~.1IEREAS, at thE time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such hear-
ing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and did receive evidence and reports, and did
thereupcn consider the recommendations of the City Planning
Commi ss ion; and
WHEREAS. after due investigation and studies made
by itself and in its behalf. and after due consideration of
all the evidence and reports offered at said hearing, the City
Council does find that:

1. There is no substantial property right
possessed by other property in the same
vicinity and zone and denied the subject
property.
2. It appears that the subject property can
be adequately developed and used under
the present zone.

NOw, THEREfORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of th€ City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning
Commission granting Variance No. 1001, requesting permission
to erect a 2,000 Square Foot Concrete Block Building and Two
Signs, and operate a Restaurant and Cocktail Lounge on the
property hereinabove described, be, and the same is hereby
disapproved, and that VarianCe No. 1001 be, and the same is
hereby denied.
THE fOREGOING RESOLUTION is apprvved and signed by
me this 12th day of August, 1958.
