A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE LAND
USE ELEMENT OF THE ANAHEIM GENERAL PLAN
DESIGNATED AS AMENDMENT NO. 365, EXHIBIT "A."
WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, pursuant to the
recommendations of the Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim, adopted a General Plan for the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, Planning Commission directed staff to initiate
an amendment to the Land Use Element of the General Plan to re-
designate seven lots located at the northeast corner of Rowland
Avenue and Magnolia Avenue from the General Commercial
designation to the Low Density Residential designation, and that
said properties are more specifically described as having a
frontage of 475 feet on the north side of Rowland Circle,
including the north half of the cul-de-sac, and a frontage of 123
feet on the east side of Magnolia Avenue (approximately 1.6
acres), (hereinafter the "General Plan Amendment" or "General
Plan Amendment No. 365"); and
WHEREAS, on the 7th day of June, 1999, the City
Planning Commission of the City of Anaheim did hold a public
hearing to consider said General Plan Amendment.
WHEREAS, at said public hearing, the City Planning
Commission did duly adopt its Resolution No. PC99-98 containing a
report of its findings, a summary of the evidence presented at
said hearing, and recommending that said Amendment to the General
Plan designated as Amendment No. 365 be adopted by the City
Council changing the land use designation for the aforedescribed
area to "Low Density Residential" in accordance with Exhibit "A";
and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of said Resolution, summary of
evidence, report of findings and recommendations of the City
Planning commission, the City Council did fix the 20th day of
July, 1999, as the time, and the City Council Chamber in the
Civic Center as the place for a public hearing on said proposed
General Plan Amendment No. 365 and did give notice thereof in the
manner and as provided by law; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did duly hold and conduct
such public hearing and did give all persons interested therein
an opportunity to be heard, and did receive evidence and reports
and did consider the recommendations of the City Planning
Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
Amendment No. 365 changing the land use designation in the
aforedescribed area in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file with
the City should be approved.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that General Plan Amendment No. 365 changing
the land use designation for the aforedescribed area to "Low
Density Residential" in accordance with Exhibit "A" on file with
the City be, and the same is hereby, approved.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Planning Department be,
and it is hereby, instructed to amend the General Plan Map to
conform to General Plan Amendment No. 365 as herein adopted and
approved.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 20th day of July, 1999.
