RESOLUTION NO. 4147
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO.
3343 GRANTING A SPECIAL USE PERMIT TO
DONALD WELLS OF IVAN WELLS & SONS.
WHEREAS, the City Council did, on the 26th day of June,
1956, adopt Resolution No. 3)4), granting a Special Use Permit to
Donald Wells of Ivan Wells & Sons, 2368 Houston Street, Anaheim,
Oalifornia, to construct a swimming pool, clubhouse and aocessory
buildings on Lots 102, 103 and 104 of Tract No. 2659, subject to
the following conditions:
1. That a 6-foot masonry wall be erected
surrounding the facilities;
2. That a 4-foot setback be allowed from
the sidewalk to the front property
line;
3. That subject facilities shall not be
rented out to any others not living
in Tract No. 2659;
4. That all engineering requirements of
the City of Anaheim be complied with
as required by the City Engineer.
AND WHEREAS, a recreation olub, known as "Hawaiian
Village Recreation Club, II has been established in s~d traot, which
club Was founded on the basis of 200 members,--the initial member-
ship fees to defray original costs and the monthly dues to provide
maintenance of said swimming pool, clubhouse and faoilities; and
WHEREAS, said HaWaiian Village Recreation Club is unable
to obtain the required membership in Tract No. 2659 and has requested
that it be allowed to extend membership to said olub to others not
living in Traot No. 2659, and permit said members to use the above
mentioned swimming pool and faoilities; and
WHEREAS, the City Counoil finds that said olub is a benefi,
to, and has served a definite need in the oommunity and that said
request for extension of membership to others not residing in
Traot No. 2659 should be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that Resolution No. 3343, adopted June 25, 1956,
granting a Special Use Permit to Donald Wells of Ivan Wells & Sons
to construct a swimming pool, olubhouse and accessory buildings on
the property hereinabove described be, and the same is hereby,
amended as follows:

That Condition No. 3 reading as follows:
13. That subjeot facilities shall not be
rented out to any others not living
in Tract No. 2659",
be, and the same is hereby, amended to read:

That said facilities shall be rented to
those persons living in Tract No. 2659
and, if unable to obtain 200 members in
said tract, the Hawaiian Village Recreation
Club may accept members from adjacent
tracts; but the total membership in said
club shall not exceed 200 members."

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in all other respects said
Resolution No. 3343 be and remain in full force and effect.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 8th day of October, 1957.
