A RESOLUTION OF THE CI'I'Y COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAIlliIM AUTHORIZING AND APPROVING AN AGREEJ~NT
TO 8E HADE AND ENTERED INTO BY AND BETWEEN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE ANAHEIM M1ERICAN LEGION
JR. BASEBALL TOURNM,1EN'I' COMHITTEE RELATING TO
THE USE OF THE LA PALMA PARK AND STADIUM FOR
THE M-1ERICAN LEGION JR. BASEBALL TOURNAMENT OF
1957.
iiliEREAS, the City of Anaheim, a Municipal Corporation,
alms cU1d maintains thc.t certain park known and designated as
"La Palma Park;" and
WHEREAS, tne Anaheim American Legion Jr. Baseball
Tournament Committee desires the use of said La Palma Park
and stadium for its Jr. Baseball Tournament of 1957; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the use of
said park by said Anaheim American Legion Jr. Baseball Tourna-
ment Committee will not conflict with the use of said park by
any other organization or by the City, ancL that its use by said
Anaheim American Legion Jr. Baseball Tournament Committee will
be of yublic benefit.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
tIle City of Anaheim that the Anaheim American Legion Jr. Baseball
Tournament Committee shall have the use of said park and stadium
for its Jr. Baseball Tournament of 1957, upon the following terms
and concdtions:
1. That the Anaheim American Legion Jr. Baseball
Tournament Committee shall pay to the City of Anaheim
as rental for the use of said park and stadium during
the tournament of 1957 the sum of $10.00 for each and
every day during said tournament commencing on August
12, 1957 and includinc the date of departure of said
Jr. Baseball Tournament Committee and the release of
said premises to the City, which said rental shall be
.Dc.id at the close of activities on Friday- of each week
during' said. toul'nament and upon demand of the City.
2. That said Anaheim ~ilerican Legion Jr. Baseball
Tournament Committee shall oay to the City the sum of
$25.00 for each and every night that the La Palma Park
Baseball Diamond lights are turned on for tournament use,
,nlich sum shall be in addition to the $10.00 rental
ch::rge above mentioned.

]. That the Anaheim American Legion Jr. Baseball
Tournament Committee shall obtain and maintain at its
own expense public liability and property damage insur-
ance in an amount adeauate to l)]'otect and save harmless
the City of Anaheim o{ and from all damages, claims for
damages, actions, causes of action, both in law and in
equity, that may arise out of the use of said park by
saiel.. Anaheim American Legion Jr. Ba8eball Tournament
Committee.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED tl~t the Mayor and the City
Clerk be, and they are hereby, authorized to enter into a
written agreement for and on behalf of the City of Anaheim
with said Anaheim American Legion Jr. Baseball Tournament
Committee upon the terms and conditions herein set forth, as
o~ the 12th day of August, 1957.
