RESOLUTION NO. 3966
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT A CHANGE
OF ZONE IS NECESSARY IN CERTAIN AREAS OF THE CITY,
AND THAT ARTICLE IX, CHAPTER 2 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE SHOULD BE AMENDED TO ACCOMPLISH
SA ID CHANGE OF ZONE.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of Ana-
heim has heretofore duly passed and adopted a resolution declaring
its intention to change the boundaries of the zone or zones herein-
after mentioned and described and did fix a time and place for the
holding of a public hearing thereon in the manner and as prescribed
in Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code, and did duly
hold and conduct such public hearing to consider said proposed change
of zone or zones, and did receive evidence and reports from persons
interested therein; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days following the
final hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announce by
formal resolution its findings of facts and declare its opinions and
reasons for recommending an amendment to said Article IX, Chapter 2
of the Anaheim MuniCipal Code to effect the proposed changes in the
boundaries of the zone hereinafter mentioned and described; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation of
the City Planning Commission, the City Council did thereupon fix the
2nd day of .Tll~ ' 19 r::.7 _~ as the time and the Council
Chamber in the City all of the City of Anaheim as the place for a
public hearing upon said proposed change of zone, and did give notice
thereof in the manner and as provided in said Article IX, Chapter 2
of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public hear-
ing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public hearing
and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be
heard and did receive evidence and reports. and did thereupon con-
sider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that the
property and area proposed to be changed from the zone in which it
is now situated to a different zone. as herei.nafter set forth, is
more suitable for the zone or zenes to which 'it is proposed to change
said property and area and that the inclusion of said property and
area in such new zone or zones will increase the value of said
property and area and will not depreciate the values of property in
adjoining zones.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that all of the property and area situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange~ State of California, described
as follows, to wit:

PARCEL 1: The easterly 236 1'eet 01' Lot 2 of Tract No. 153
as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 11, Page 46 01'
Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said Orange County.

PARCEL 2: That portion of Lot 4 of Tract No. 153,
as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 11, Page
46 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said Orange
County, described as follows:
Beginning at the Northeasterly corner of said Lot 4
and running thence Westerly along the Northerly line
of said Lot 4, 200.47 feet, more or less, to the North-
easterly corner of a parcel of land conveyed to Joseph
D. Huarte, et ux by deed recorded April 13, 1954 in
Book 2708, page 555 of Official Records in the Office of
the County Recorder of said Orange County; thence South-
erly along the Easterly line of said parcel conveyed to
Joseph D. Huarte 229.95 feet to a point; thence Easterly
to a point in the Easterly line of said Lot 4, which
point is 229.95 feet Southerly from the Northeasterly
corner of said Lot 4; thence Northerly along the Easterly
line of said Lot 4, 229.95 feet to the point of beginning.
PARCEL 3: All that certain land situated in the Rancho
San Juan Cajon de Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of
California, described as follows, to wit:
Lot 2 of Tract No. 153, Monroe E. Wallace Subdivision
as shown on a map recorded in Book 11, page 46 of Mis-
cellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California.
EXCEPTING therefrom the Easterly 236 feet.
ALSO EXCEPTING therefrom the following:
BEGINNING at the intersection of the Northwesterly pro-
longation of the West line of said Lot 2 with the center
line of La Palma Avenue (formerly North Street) as shown
on said map; thence South 890 50' 30" East along the
center line of said La Palma Avenue, a distance of 399.85
feet; thence South 150 08' 30" East 352.96 feet; thence
North 800 43' 15" East 197.4tlfeet to the Westerly line of
land described in deed to James Wetton and wife, recorded
April 10, 1928, in Book 148, Page 389 of Official Records;
thence South 160 41' 50" East 377.96 feet along said
Westerly line to the South line of said Lot 2; thence South
740 13' 30" West 564.80 feet to the Southwest corner of said
Lot 2; thence North 170 all 00" WesD 861.42 feet to the
point of beginning.
PARCEL : Beginning at the Northwest corner of Lot 3,
Anaheim xtension, as surveyed by William Hamel in 1868
and filed for record with the County Recorder of Los
Angeles County, California; thence along the Westerly line
of said Lot, South 160 24' 00" East to a point which is
319.82 feet from the Southwest corner of said Lot; thence
North 740 30' 30" East 297.33 feet; thence North 160 281 30"
West 742.48 feet to a point on the North line of said lot
which is South 890 511 30" East 307.81 feet from the
Northwest corner of said lot; thence South 890 51' 30" West
307.81 feet to the Northwest corner of said Lot.
EXCEPTING THElillFROM: Beginning at a point in the North line
of said Lot 3, distant thereon South 890 51' 30" East 307.81
feet from the Northwesterly corner thereof, said point being
also the Northeasterly corner of the land described in
Certificate of Title No. 10,435; thence South 160 28' 30"
East along the Easterly line of said land described in

MULTIPLE FAl'LILY RESIDENTIAL ZONE, upon the following conditions:
1. That the owners of subject property deed to the City
of Anaheim a strip of land 10 feet in width along the
South side of La Palma Avenue for street widening
purpose$.
2. That the owners of subject property place of record
standard City of Anaheim R-3 Deed Restrictions
approved by the City Attorney.
3. Said change of Zone shall not become effective unless
within sixty days, or such further time as the Council
may grant, the restrictions herein required to be
imposed upon the property shall have been executed by
the owners of the property, submitted to the City for
approval and filed of record, nor until deeds for
Street widening or utility purposes, when required,
have been executed and delivered to the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be, and he is
hereby, authorized and directed to prepare and submit to the City
Cnuncil an amendment to Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code to amend said Anaheim Municipal Code to accomplish the object
herein found and determined to be necessary and proper.
