57R-3930 RESOLUTION NO. 39~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CI1Y COUNCIL OF THE CI1Y OF AJfAHEIM APPROVING AND AU1li9RIZING TIlE EXECUTION OF .AN AGREEMENT 10 BE MADE AND au:m:D INTO WITH TIlE ANAHEIM UNION HIGH SCHOOL DISTRICT AND TIlE ~IM CI1Y SCH:lOL DISTRICT 10 ORGANIZE, PRbMoTE AND CONDUCT J. JOIn PROGRAM OF CXlJMJJfI1Y REatEATION. WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, the Anaheim Union High School District and the Anaheim Ci ty School District desire to promote and preserve the health and general welfare of the people of the City of Anaheim, the Anaheim Union High School District and the Anaheim City School D:istrict and to cultivate and develop good citizen ship by proyidiag for an adequate program of cOllllllUnity recreation as wlUl contribute to the attainment of general education and recreational objectives for the children and adults of said City and said School Districts; and WHEREAS, the City of Anaheim, the Anaheim Union High School District and the Anaheim City School District desire to cooperate with each other to carry out the provisions of Chapter 4, Division 12 of the state of california, and to that end enter into an agreement with each other to organize, promote and conduct a joint program of community recreation to promote and preserve the health and ge~ral welfare or the children and people or said City and said School Districts. . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that the City of Anaheim enter into an agreement with the Anaheim Union High School District and the Anaheim City School District for the following purposes: 1. To jointly organize, promote and conduct a program of coJllDl\lnity recreation during the fiscal year 1957-58 for general education and recreational objectives for the children and adults of said City and said School Districts. 2. To provide that all public parks and recreational facilities, excepting the Municipal Plunge, of the City of Anaheim be made available and be used as a part of a joint community recreation program for the fiscal year 1957-58, and be maintained and cared for by the City; and That the City make available to the Anaheim Union High School District all public parks and recreational facilities, excepting the Municipal Plunge, said facilities to be used jointly in the physical education program of the Anaheim Union High School District, and be main- taified and cared for by the City of Anaheim during the fiscal year 1957-58. 3. To provide that all recreational facilities of the Anaheim Union High School District be made available and be used as a part of the said joint cOJlllllUnity recreation program for the fiscal year 1957-58, and be maintained and cared for by the Anaheim Union High School District. 4. To provide that all recreational facilities of the Anaheim city School District be made available and be used as a part of said joint community recreation program for the fiscal year '1957-58, and be maintained and cared for by the Anaheim City School District. .-, ~ BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT the City of Anaheim shall pay Seventy Three Thousand Eight Hundred and Fifty-seven Dollars (73,857.00), the Anaheim Union High School District shall pay Thirty Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy-Three Dollars ($30,773.00) and the Anaheim. City School District shall pay Eighteen Thousand Four Hundred and Sixty-Five Dollars ($18,465,00) of the general expense for salaries of supervisors, instructors, attendants, elllployees and supplies and general maintenance expenses of said community recreation program; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim be, and they are hereby, authorized and directed to execute an agree_nt for and on behalf of the City of Anahei.Ja for the purpose of entering into, carrying on and conducting a joint recreation program with the Anaheim Union High School District and the Anaheim City School District under the provisions of Chapter 4, Division 12 of the Education Code of tae State of California, and for the purpose of carrying out the provisions of this resolution.
