RESOLUT ION NO. 3918
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMINING THAT A CHANGE
OF ZONE IS NECESSARY IN CERTAIN AREAS OF THE CITY,
AND THAT ARTICLE IX, CHAPTER 2 OF THE ANAHEIM
MUNICIPAL CODE SHOULD BE AMENDED TO ACCOMPLISH
SAID CHANGE OF ZONEo
WHEREAS, the City Planning CommIssion of the City of Ana-
heim has heretofore duly passed and adopted a resolution declaring
its intention to change the boundaries of the zone or zones herein-
after mentioned and described and did fix a time and place for the
holding of a public hearing thereon in the manner and as prescribed
in Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal COde, and did duly
hold and conduct such public hearing to consider said proposed change
of zone or zones, and did receive evidence and reports from persons
interested therein; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days following the
final hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announce by
formal resolution its findings of facts and declare its opinions and
reasons for recommending an amendment to said Article IX, Chapter 2
of the Anaheim Municipal Code to effect the proposed changes in the
boundaries of the zone hereinafter mentioned and described; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the report and recommendation of
the City Planning CommiSSion, the City Council did thereupon fix the
11 th day of June , 19 57 . as the time and the Counc 11
Chamber in the City Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place for a
public hearing upon said proposed change of zone, and did give notice
thereof in the manner and as provided in said Article IX, Chapter 2
of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public hear-
ing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public hearing
and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity to be
heard and did receive evidence and reports~ and did thereupon con-
sider the recommendations of the City Planning Commission; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that the
property and area proposed to be changed from the zone in which it
is now iituated to a different zone, as hereinafter set forth, is
more suitable for the zone or zenes to which it is proposed to change
said property and area and that the inclusion of said property and
area in such new zone or zones will increase the value of said
property and area and will not depreciate the values of property in
adjoining zones.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the C1ty Council of the
City of Anaheim that all of the property and area situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Oranges State of California, described
as fol1o~, to wit:
That portion of the southwest quarter of the northwest
quarter of Section 21, Township 4 South, Range 10 West,
in the Rancho Las Bolsas, in the Oity of Anaheim, Oounty
of Orange, State of Oalifornia, as per map recorded in
Book 51, page 10 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the offioe
of the Oounty Recorder of said County, desoribed as
follows:

Beginning at the intersection of a line parallel with
and 30.00 feet east of the west line of said section,
said west line being the center line of Euclid Avenue,
with a line parallel with and 20.00 feet north of the
south line of said northwest quarter, said south line
being the center line of Cerrit08 Avenue, thence east-
erly 319.00 feet along said last mentioned parallel line
to the southerly prolongation of the ,vesterly line of
Lot 1 in Tract No. 1322, as ~)er map recorded in book 40
page 7 of said Miscellaneous Maps; thence north 550 feet,
more or less, along said southerly prolongation, said
,.".ester:y line and its northerly prolongation to the south
l:ne of the land described in deed to Raymond S. Brooks,
et ux., recorded March 24, 1950, as Document No. 19788,
in the office of the Registrar of Land Titles of said
county; thence easterly 86.6 feet to the southeast cor-
ner of said Brooks land; thence north 100.00 feet to
the northeast COrner thereof; thence west 405.6 feet to
the said line parallel with the west line of said section;
thence south along said parallel line to the point of
beginning;
be changed from R-A, RESIDENTIAL-AGRICULTURAL ZONE, to C-l,
NEIGHBORHOOD CO~~RCIAL ZONE, upon the following conditions:
1. That the owners of subject property place of record
standard City of Anaheim C-l Deed Restrictions,
approved by the City Attorney.
2. That the owners of subject property deed to the City
of Anaheim a strip of land 20 feet in width along
Euclid Avenue and a strip of land 10 feet in width
along Cerritos Avenue for street widening purposes.
3. That all engineering requirements of the City of
Anaheim, such as curbs, gutters, sidewalks, street
grading and paving, drainage facilities or other
pertinent work, be complied with as required by the
City Engineer.
4. Said chan;;e of Zone she.ll not become effective unless
within sixty days, or such further time as the Council
may grant, the restrictions herein req0ired to be
imposed upon the property shall have been executed by
the owners of the property, submitted to the City for
approval and filed of record, nor until deeds for
Street widening or utility purposes, when required,
have been executed and delivered to the City.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be, and
he is hereby, authorized and directed to prepare and submit to
the City Council an amendment to Article IX, Chapter 2 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code to amend said Anaheim Municipal Code to
accomplish the object herein found and determined to be necessary
and proper.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
