PONSIBLE BIDDER FOR THE FURNISHING OF ALL
PLAN'!', LABOR J SERVICES, M.ATER~ALS AND EQ.UIP-
MIlT AND ALL UTILITIES AND TRANSPORTATION,
INCLUDING POWER, FUEL AND WATER, AND PER-
FORMING ALL WORK NECESSARY TO OONSTRUCT AND
COMPLETE THE FOLLOWING PUBLIC IKPROVEMENT:

WHEREAS, the Oity aounoil of the City of Anaheim did
cause to be pUblished in a newspaper of general oirculation,
printed, published and oiroulated in the City ot Anaheim, to

the allowing:
All plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, and all utilities
and transportation, including power, fuel and water, and performing all
l"orl;: necessary to construct and complete in a good and workmanlike
manner, in strict accordance with the specifications, plans and drawings
therefor on file in the office of the City Clerk or the City Engineer
of the City of Anaheim, the following Dublic improvement, to wit: The
Ball Road-Crone Avenue and Loara Street street improvement, consisting
of the imnrovement of Ball Hoad from the Southern Pacific Railroad to
Euclio Avenue, of Crone Avenue from Loara Street to 600 feet westerly,
and of Loara street from Crone Avenue to Ball Road, by excavation,
:)avin!?; with 4 inches of plant-mix paving, adjusting existing manholes
to g'rade, <,wd Ropurte:lant cIori\: as indicated on the plans, Job No. 138,
in aooordance with the designs, plans, profiles and speoifioations
of said publiC improvement on file in the Offioe of the Oity Olerk
of the Oity of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, said notioe inviting sealed proposals for said
publio improvement did prOVide that sealed proposals would be reoeived
by the Oity Counoil of the City of Anaheim at the Offioe of the Oity
Clerk of the City of Anaheim up to the hour of 7:00 o'olook P.M. on
the ~4th day ot May , 19S-Z-for the furnishing ot &11
plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, all utilities and
transportation, including power, fuel and water, and performing all
work necessary to construct and complete, in a good and workmanlike
manner, the public improvement hereinabove more partioularly mentioned
and desoribed and which notice did state and declare that pursuant
to the provisions of Seotion 1770 of the Labor Code, the City Counoil
of the City of Anaheim had ascertained the prevailing rate of wages
in the looality in which this type of labor is to be performed for
eaoh oraft or type of workman or meohanic needed to exeoute the oon-
tract and did set forth the prevailing hourly wage soale so asoertained;
and
,~ WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim did receive
the following eealed proposals prior to 7:00 o.clock P. M. on the
14th day ot May , 19.5-1...-, in response to the notice
aforesaid inviting sealed proposals, to wit:

,WHEREAS, the City Council did. thereupon refer said bids to
the City E.~i_ne~r__________.__ _for examination, tabulation
and report to t.he City Council, and said City Engineer
did examine and tabulate said sealed proposals and did report to the
Council the result of his examination and tabulation; and

WHERZAS, the City Council finds that the above mentioned
sealed. proposal is the lowest responsible proposal received and that
the nersan, firm or corporation submitting said proposal is a
responsible person, firm or corporation and that the proposal sub-
mitted is the best suited and fitted for the oublic improvement to
be constructed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COm~CIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM, that the sealed proposal submitted by

sealed proposals, the public works and improvements hereinabove more
particularly mentioned and described, together with the appurtenances
~. thereto, be, and the same is hereby, accepted, and that a contract

M1D BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders upon each contract awarded as hereinabove set forth shall
be, and they are hereb;y required to execute a contract in the required

form with the Oity of Anaheim upon the terms and oonditions speoified
in the notioe inviting sealed proposals and the proposal submitted
by sa1d suooessful bidder or bidders and in aooordanoe with the plans
and specifioations for said pUblic improvement hereinabove desoribed
and in accordanoe with the terms, oonditions and provisions of this
resolution, and that said suocessful bidder or bidders to whom eaoh
oontraot is awarded shall be required to furnish a surety bond 1n an
amount equal to one hundred per oent (lOO~) of the oontraot prioe for
all labor, materials and equipment to be furnished and performed as
set ~orth in the sealed proposals submit.ted by sa1d bidder for the
oonstruotion of said publio improvement together with the appurtenances
thereto or such portion thereof as is oovered by said oontraot as
seourity for the faithful performanoe of ~aid oontraot and a separate
surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred per cent (lOO~) of the
oonstruotion cost of said publio improvement oovered by said oontraot
as seourity for the paymerit of all persons performing labor and furn-
ishing material for said proJeot.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said suooessful bidder or
bidders be, and they are hereby required to furnish to the Oit, of

to make, exeoute and enter into for and on behalf of the City of Ana-

furnishing of all plant, labor, materials, and equipment and performimg
all work as hereinabove more partioularly desoribed for the oonstruo-
tion, 1nstallation and oompletion of sa1d publio improvement herein-
above desoribed upon the terms and oondit1ons as speoified in the
notioe inviting sealed proposals, the deta1led design, plans, profile.,
draw1ngs and general specifioations and detailed speoifioations and
drawings and all addenda thereto and all modifioations inoorporated
therein prior to the date of the opening of bids, on file in the office
of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim and in striot aooordanoe with
the terms, oonditions and prOVisions of this Resolution, and in aooord-
anoe with all the oontraot documents herein speoified.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this
