A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 2584 RE-
LATING TO A QiANGE CF ZONE IN A CERTAIN AREA
OF THE CITY.
WHEREAS, heretofore, to wit, on the 23rd day of
November, 1954, the City Co~ncil did adopt Resolution No.
2584 in reclassification proceeding No. F-54-55-ll, find-
ing and determining that the property described in said
resolution should be changed from the classification of
R-3, Multiple Family Residential Zone, and R-A, Residential-
Agricultural Zone, to a C-l, Neighborhood Commercial Zone,
and a P-L, Parking-Landscaping Zone; and
WHEREAS, on the 22nd day of January, 1957, the
City Council did adopt Resolution No. 3672 amending said
Resolution No. 258~, changing said property from an R-3,
Multiple Family Residential Zone and an R-A, Residential-
Agricultural Zone to a C-l, Neighborhood Co~rcial Zone
only and eliminating therefrom the P-L, Parking-Landscaping
Zone 60 feet in depth, and requiring a 15-foot building
setback line to be established, which 15-foot area shall
be landscaped; and requiring a strip of land 20 feet in
depth along South Los Angeles Street for street widening
purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that all of
the property owners within the said area, except the owner
of the parcel of property situated on the Southeast corner
of the intersection of Vermont Avenue and South Los Angeles
Street, have deeded to the City an easement over said 20-
foot strip for the wideni~ of South Los Angeles Street;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that said
parcel of property situated on the Southeast corner of said
intersection is described as follows and is vested in the
name of Mary Olivia Larsen, a minor:
The Northwesterly 100 feet of the Southwesterly
189 feet of the following described land:
That portion of Lot 25 of Anaheim Extension as
shown on a map of survey made by William Hamel
on file in the Office of the County Recorder of
Los Angeles County, California, described as
fo 11 ows:

Commencing at the center line of Olive and Broad
Streets; thence running Westerly along said line
of Broad Street 23 rods and 11 feet for a start-
ing point; thence running Southerly at right
angles 8.39 chains; thence running Westerly at
a right angle to the center line of Los Angeles
Street; thence NorthQrly at a right angle along
the center line of Los Angeles Street to the
center line of Broad Street; thence running
easterly at a right angle along the center line
of Broad Street to said starting point;
EXCEPTING one-half of the width of Broad and
Los Angeles Streets.

AND WHEREAS, the City Council does find that it
would be necessary to obtain a court order from the Probate
Court authorizing the guardian of said minor to convey a
20-foot strip of the above described property for street
widening purposes, and that this would delay the completion
of these proceedings for the reclassification of the other
parcels of property.
NON, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim that all of th~ proper,ty and area
situated in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of
California, described as follows, to wit:
The area along the east side of South Los Angeles
Street between Los Angeles Street and the first
al~ey east, and from East ,Vermont Avenue south to
the present Commercial Zone north of Ball Road,
which point is approximately 785 feet north of
said Road;
EXCEPT that portion of said property hereinabove
described situated on the Southeast corner of the
intersection of Los Angeles Street and Vermont
Avenue,
be changed from the present classification of R-3, Multiple
Family Residential Zone and R-A, Residential~Agricultural
Zone, to a C-l, Neighborhood Commercial Zone.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that in all other re-
spects said Resolution No. 2584, as amended by Resolution No.
3672, be and remain in full force and effect. .
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be,
and he is hereby, authorized and directed to prepare and
submit to the City Council an amendment to Article IX,
Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Municipal Code to accomplish the
object herein found and determined to be necessary and
proper.
THE FORIGO~ RESOLUTION is approved and signed by
me this 7th day of May, 1957.
