be annexed to the CitYj and the City Council does find and de-
termine that said propon~nt8 have done and performed the acts and
things required to ~e done and performed by the Annexation Act
of 1913, at the time and in the manner as required by the pro-
visions of said Act; and that said petition was circulated more
than twenty-one (21) days after the publication of notice of in-
tention to circulate such petition and that it is signed by not
less than one-fourth of the qualified electors residing within
the territory proposed to be annexed, as shown by the County
Registration of Voters and as appears from the certificate of the
Ci ty c:lerk of 'che Gi ty of Anaheim presented to the City Council
a t the time of consideration of said peti tion and prio:r- to the
adoption of this resolutionj and does further find that more than
twelve (12) qualified electors resided within the boundaries of
the territory proposed to be annexed at the time of the filing
of said petition for said annexationj and does further find, from
evidence and reports received and from said petition, that at
the time of the filing and presentation of said petition, that
said new territory proposed to be annexed to said City of Anaheim
did not form a part of any other city or municipal corporation,
and that said territory was, at the time of filing said petition
inhabited territory and is contiguous to the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does further find that it
would be to the advantage and for the best interests of the City
of Anaheim, and the residents thereof, and the qualified electors
residing within the territory proposed to be annexed, as herein-
after more particularly described, to submit the question of the
annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim to the elect-
ors residing within said territory; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does further find that said
territory should be designated by some appropriate name by which
it may be referred to upon the ballots used at the election at
which the question of annexation of said territory to the City of
Anaheim shall be submitted to the electors residing within said
territory and that an appropriate designation for such territory
is MIDWOOD MANOR ANi,iEXATIONj and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from said petition and
evidence and reports received that the boundaries of the territory
so proposed and sought to be annexed to the City of Anaheim are
as follows, to-wit: Said territory is situated in the County of
Orange, State of California, and the specific boundaries thereof
are as follows:

A parcel of land being a portion of Sections 19, 20, 21, 28, 29 and 30, Township 4
~outh, Range 10 West, San Bernardino Base and Meridian, described as follows:

Beginning at a point in the existing Anaheim City limits line as established by the
South Anaheim Annexation passed by Ordinance No. 1032 cn December 27, 1955, and filed
with the Secretary of State January 30, 1956, said point also being the intersection of
a line parallel with and 30 feet easterly, as measured at right angles from the West
line of said Section 28, with a line parallel with and 30 feet southerly as measured at
right angles from the northerly line of said Section 28, thence,
1. Westerly along the last mentioned parallel and a line parallel with and 30
feet southerly of the north lines of said Sections 29 and 30, 5350 feet more
or less to a point, said point being the intersection of a line parallel with
and 40 feet westerly measured at right angles from the east line of said Sec-
tion 30; thence,
2. Northerly along the last mentioned parallel line 30 feet to a point, said
point being in the northerly line of said Section 30; thence,
3. Northerly along a line parallel with and 40 feet westerly measured at right
angles from the east line of said Section 19, 478.59 feet more or less to a
point, said point being in the northerly line of Tract 2319 as shown on a map
filed in Book 69, Page 44 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County
Recorder of said Orange County; thence,
4. N 890 38' 52" E 10 feet more or less to a point, said point being in a line
parallel with and 30 feet westerly measured at right angles of the east line
of said Section 19; thence
5. Northerly along the last mentioned parallel line 1089.58 feet more or less to
the south line of Tract 1919 as shown on a map filed in Book 56, Pages 30 and
31 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County;
thence,
6. S 890 04' 35" W 10 feet to a point, said point being the southeast corner of
Lot 24 of said Tract 1919; thence,
7. Northerly along a line parallel with and 40 feet westerly measured at right
angles from the east line of said Section 19, 1746.24 feet more or less to a
point, said point being located in the westerly prolongation of the northerly
line of Tract 2015 as shown on a map filed in Book 58, Pages 16 and 17 of
Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County;
thence,
8. Easterly along said westerly prolongation 10 feet to an angle point in the exis-
ting City limits line as established by the Nutwood-Ball Annexation passed by
Ordinance No. 965 on January 25, 1955, and filed with the Secretary of State on
February 25, 1955, said point also being 30 feet West of the easterly line of
said Section 19; thence,
9. Easterly along said existing City limits line, said line also being the northerly
boundary line of said Tract 2015, 1360.70 feet more or less to an angle point
in said City limits line; thence,

line of the North half of the Northeast quarter of said Section 20; thence,

15. Easterly along said City limits line 2640 feet, more or less to a point, said
point being 30 feet east of the westerly line of said Section 21, said point
also being in the existing City limits line as established by the Ball Road
No. 2 Annexation passed by Ordinance No. 1044 on February 14, 1956 and filed
with the Secretary of State on March 19, 1956; thence
16. Southerly along said existing City limits line, 4577.07 feet more or less to a
point, said point being in the north line of Tract 2177, as shown on a map filed
in Book 59, Page 37 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder
of said Orange County; thence,
17. Easterly along said north line, 10 feet to a point, said point being the north-
west corner of Lot 17 of said Tract 2177; thence,
18. S 00 55' 00" Vi 280 feet more or less to a point, said point being the southwest
corner of Lot 18 of said Tract 2177; thence,
19. Westerly along the south line of said Tract 2l7~ 10 feet; thence,
20. Southerly along a line that is parallel with and 30 feet easterly measured at
right angles from the west line of said Section 21, and its southerly prolonga-
tion 422.93 feet more or less to the point of beginning.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that it does hereby declare its intention
to call a special election for the pur~ose of submitting to the
electors residing in the hereinabove desoribed new territory,
the question whether said new territor,r shall be annexed to, in-
corporated in, and made a part of the City of Anahetm and the
property therein be, after such annexation~ subject to taxation
equally with the property within said City of Anaheim, to pay
its pro rata share, based upon assessed valuation, of all of the
bonded indebtedness of said Qity of Anahelm,outstanding on the
date of the filing of the petition, to wit, the 9th day of
April ,1957, or theretofore authorized; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the territory so proposed
to be annexed shall be designated as "MIDWOOD MANOR ANNEXATION'
; and ,
BE, IT FURTHE,ft RESOLVED that the 14th day of May

Council Chamber of the City Hall in the C~ty of Anaheim be, and
the same is hereby, fixed as the day, hour and place When and

or any protests against the annexation of said territory to the
City of Anaheim must be in writing and may be filed with the
City Clerk of the City of Anah~lm at any time not later than the
hour and date set forth herein for the hearing of objeotions to
said election.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk of the
City of Anaheim be, and she is hereby, authorized and d1r~cted
to cause a oopy of this resolution to be publiShed at least once
a week for two weeks prior to the date hereinabove fixed for the
hearing of protests and objections to said election and the
annexation of said territory to the City of Anaheim, in the
ANAHEIM BULLETIN, a newspaper of general oiroulation, published
and circulated in the City of Anaheim, County of Or~ge, State
of California.
