Turni"shlng the folTOwing:
All plant, labor, serviees, materials and equipment,
and all utilities and transportation, including power,
fuel and water, and performing all work necessary to
construct and complete, in a good and workmanlike manner,
in strict accordance with the plans and specifications
on file in the office of the Oity Clerk or the City
Engineer of the City of Anaheim, the following publio
improvement: The Improvement of Vermont Avenue, from
Hampshire Avenue to the Santa Ana Freeway, including
excavation, paving with four inches of plant-mix paving,
adjusting existing manholes to grade, and appurtenant
work as indicated on the plans, Job No. 144,
in accordance with the designs, plans, profiles and specifications
of said. public improvement on file in the Off~ ;e of the City Clerk
of the City of Anaheim; and

of all plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, all utili-
ties and. transportation, incluo.ing power, fuel and vlater, and per-
forming all work necessary to construct and complete, in a good anc
"orkmanlike manner, the public improvement hereinabove more particu-
larly mentioned and described and which notice did state and declare
that ~ursuant to the urovisions of Section 1770 of the Labor Code,
the City Council of the City of Anaheim had ascertained the prevailing
rate of vrages in the locality in which this type of labor is to be peI-
formed for each craft or ty~)e of Iforkman or mechanic needed to execute
the cOi1tract and did set forth the prevailing hourly "rage scale so
ascertained; and

WHEREAS, the Oity Council did th~reupon refer said bids to
the City Eniineer tor examination, tabulation
and report to the City Counoil, and said City Engineer
did examine and tabulate said sealed proposals and did report to the
Counoil the result of his examination and tabulation; and
WHEREAS, the City Oouncil finds that the sealed proposal sub-
mitted by R. J. NOBLE COMPANY, P. O. Box 620, Orange, California
is the lowest responsible proposal submitted for the furnishing of all
plant, labor, services, materials and equipment, all utilities and
transportation, including power, fuel and water and performing all work
necessary to construct and complete in a good and workmanlike manner
in strict accordance with the spec:lflcations, plans and drawings
therefor on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Ana-
heim of the public improvement hereinabove mentioned and desoribed,
together with the appurtenances thereto:. and as s.peoified in the
notioe inviting sealed proposals, and that said proposal of said
above named bidder should be accepted and a contract awarded to said
bidder in accordance therewith; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the above mentioned
sealed proposal is the lowest responsible proposal received and that
the person, firm or corporation submitting said proposal is a
responsible person, firm or corporation and that the proposal sub-
m~tted is the best suited and fitted for the public improvement to
be constructed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM, that the sealed proposal submitted by
R. J. NOBLE COMPANY, P. O. Box 620, Oran~., California
for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment, all utilities and transportation, including power, fuel
and water and performing all work necessary to construct and complete
in a good and workmanlike manner, in strict accordance with the
specifications, plans, and drawings therefor on file in the office
of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim and the notice inviting
sealed proposals, the publiC works and i.mprovements hereinabove more
particularly mentioned and described, together with the appurtenanoes
thereto, be, and the same is hereby, accepted, and that a contract
for the construotion and completion of said public improvement be,
and the same is hereby, awarded to the said above named bidder.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the successful bidder or
bidders upon eaoh contract awarded as hereinabove set forth shall
be, and they are hereby requlred to execute a contraot in the required

form with the City of Anaheim upon the terms and oonditions speoified
in the notioe inviting sealed proposals and the proposal submitted
by said successful bidder or bidders and in accordance with the plans
and specifioations for said publio improvement hereinabove desoribed
and in accordanoe with the terms, conditions and provisions of this
resolution, and that said successful bidder or bidders to whom eaoh
contraot is awarded shall be required to furnish a surety bond in an
amount equal to one hundred per cent (lOO;C) of the oontract price for
all labor~ materials and equipment to Qe furnished and performed as
set forth in the sealed proposals submitted by said bidder for the
oonstruotion of said pUblio improvement together with the appurtenances
thereto or suoh portion thereof as is oovered by said oontraot as
security for the faithful performanoe of said contraot and a separate
surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred per oent (lOO;C) of the
oonstrucUion cost of said publio improvement covered by said oontraot
as security for the payment of all persons performing labor and furn-
ishing material for ~aid,proJect.
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that said suocessful bidder or
bidders be, and they are hereby required to furnish to the Oity ot
Anaheim in companies satisfaotory to the City of Anaheim public
liability, property damage, compensation, and other insuranoe 1a
the amounts and for the purposes as set forth and speoified in the
notice inviting sealed proposals and subJeot to the approval of the
City Attorney as to form and sufficienoy,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and the City Clerk
ot the Oity of Anaheim be, and they are 'hereby, authorized and direoted
to make, exeoute and enter into for and on behalf of the City ot Ana-
heim a written oontract with said successful bidder or bidders tor the
furnishing of all plant, labor, materials, and equipment and performing
all work as hereinabove more particularly desoribed for the construc-
tion, installation and completion of said public improvement herein-
above desoribed upon the terms and conditions as speoitied in the
notice inviting sealed proposals, the detailed design, plans, profiles,
drawings and general specifications and detailed specifications and
drawings and all addenda thereto and all modifications incorporated
therein prior to the date of the opening of bids, on file in the office
of the City Clerk of the City of Anaheim and in strict accordanoe with
the terms, conditions and prOViSions of this Resolution, and in accord-
ance with all the contract documents herein specified.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me this
