RESOLUTION NO. 3741
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETEIRMINING THAT A
CHAHGE OF ZONE IS NECESSARY IN CERTAIN AREAS
OF THE CITY AND THAT ARTICUE IX, CHAP'l'ER 2,
OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL COIDE SHOULD BE
AMEIIDED TO ACCOMPLISH SAID CHANGE OF ZOIfE.
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did fix a time and place for the holding of a public
hearing to consider a proposed change in the boundaries of the
zone or zones hereinafter mentioned and described, in the manner
and as prescribed in Article IX, Chapter 2 of the Anaheim Muni-
cipal Code, and did duly hold and conduct such public hearing,
and did receive evidence and reports from persons interested
therein; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days following
the hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announce
by formal resolution ita findings of facts, but made no recom-
mendation as to the proposed changes in the boundaries of the
sone or zones hereinafter mentioned and described, due to the
fact that a motion to reclassify the property hereinafter des-
cribed failed to reoeive a two-thirds majority vote; and
WHEREAS, upon receipt of the report of the City Plan-
ning Commission, the City Council did thereupon fix the 19th day
of March, 1957, as the time and the Council Chamber in the City
Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place for a public hearing
upon said proposed change of zone and did give notice thereof in
the manner and as provided in said Article IX, Chapter 2 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such public
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an oppor-
1nmity to be heard and did receive evidence and reports from
persons interested therein; and

WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
a portion of the property and area proposed to be changed from
the zone in which it is now situated to a different zone as here-
inafter set forth, is more suitable for the zone to which it is
proposed to change said property and area and that the inclusion of
said property and area in such new zone will increase the value
of said property and area and will not depreciate the values of
property in adjoining zones.
NOW', THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Ci t.,. COUDcil of
the City of Anaheim that all of the property and area situated in
the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, des-
cribed as follows, to wit:
Starting at a point Easterly 1357.76 feet, more
or less, from the center lines of East Street and
East Center Street; thence Southerly 24.25 feet
to the present Southerly right-of-way line of East
Center Street; thence Easte,rly 529.01 feet, more
or less; thence Southerly a distance or 25.25 feet;
thence Easterly a distance of 264.03 feet; thence
Northerly a distance of 15.25 feet; thence Easterly
a distance of 730.31 feet, more or less; thence
Southerly a distance of 155 feet; thence Westerly

parallel to East Broadway a distance of 730.31
feet, more or less, thence Northerly a distance
of 18.00 feet at right angles to East Center
Street; thence Westerly a distance of 264.03 feet
parallel to East Center Street; thence Southerly
a distance of 114.00 feet at right angles to East
Center Street; thence Easterly parallel to East
Center Street a distance of 529.01 reet, more or
less; thence Northerly at right angles to East
Center Street a distance of "288.75'feet to the
point of beginning.
be changed from R-A, RESIDENTIAL-AGRICULTURAL ZONE, to C-l,
NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL ZONE, upon the conditions hereinafter
set rorth; and that the balance of the property for which a
change of zone was requested in Appl~cation No. F-56-57-38 re-
main in R-A, RESIDENTIAL-AGRICULTURAL ZONE.
!hat the above desoribed property shall be reclassified C-l,
IEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL ZONE, subject to the following condi-
tions:
1. That the owners of subject property deed
to the City or Anaheim a s~rip of land 25.25
feet in depth along Center Street for street
widening purposes, making a 50-foot half-
width street.
2. That all engineering requirements of the City
of Anaheim be complied with as required by
the City Engineer.
3. !hat the owners of subject property place of
record appropriate C-l deed restrictions a8
required by the City ot Anaheim and approved
by the City Attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be, and
he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and submit to
the City COllncil an amendment to Article IX, Chapter 2 or the
Anaheim Municipal Code to amend said Anaheim MuniCipal Code to
accomplish the objeot herein found and determined to be neces-
sary and proper.
