RESOLUTION NO. 374.0 ",-.. ~'-'t A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY C~UNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM A8CERTAINIJG AND DETERMIN- ING THE PREVAILING RATE OF WAGES TO BE PAID FOR EACH CRAFT, OR TYPE OF WORKMAN, OR MECHANIC NEEDED FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONTRACTS, FOR THE FURNISHING OF ALL lATERIALS, PLANT, LABOR AND SERVICES FOR THE CONSTRUCTION, INSTALLATION AND COMPLETIOH OF SEWER WORKS AND WATER WORKS PROJECTS IH THE CITY OF ANAHEIM. Health and Welfare payments shall be made in accord- ance with the Soathern California Master Labor Agreement. /""". ~, -)- - - r" The foregoing wage soale and rates are for an eight hour day, forty hour week, time and one-balt' for overtime 8.1'ld double time Sundays and holidays, except as otherwise provided in the Kay, 1956 revision ot' the A.G..C., B.C.A" H.B.I. ,E.G.C.A., A.F.L.-C.I.O. Southern California Ma.ter Labor Agreement and Supplements, which shall govern for such overtime and double time pay, and for the wage seale t'Qr Foremen not otherwise listed above. Holidays as herein reterred to shall be deemed to be New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Armistioe Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day. If any of the above mentioned holidays, other than Labor Day and Thanks- giving Day, falls on Sunday, the Monday following shall be oonsidered a legal holiday. The overtime rule establishing the rate. of overtime and holiday work shall be in accordance with the following: Where a lingle shift is worked, e1g~t hours of continuous employment, exoept for lunch periods, shall constitute a day's work beginning on Monday and contin~ing through Friday each week. Where work is required in e~cess of eight hours in any one day er during the interval of time from 5:00 P. X. Friday and 12:00 o'clock midnight Saturday night, such work shall be paid for at the minimum rate of one and one-half (It) times the basic rate of wages, and on Sundays and holidays such work shall be paid for at the minimum rate of double the basic rate of wages, exoept as otherwise provided in the May, 1956 revision of the A.G.C., B.C.A., H.B.I., E.G.C.A., A.F.L.-C.I.O. Southern California Master Labor Agreement and Supplements. Properly indentured apprentioes to any of the trades listed above may be employed upon suoh public improvements with skilled workmen, subject to the provisions ot' Seetion 1777.5 of the Labor Code of the state of California, the wage rates for such apprentices to be determined as provided in said Seotion 1777.5.
