RESOLUTION NO. 3727
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM GRANTING A VARIANCE. (NO. 684)
WHEREAS, the City Plpnning Commi$sion or the City 01' Ana-
heim did receive a petition rrom the property owner-!- &ft~1ep
or certain real propert~' situated in the City
of Aaaheim, County 01' Orange, State or ~alirornia, described as
rollowe:
That certain parcel of re~l property situated
at the Southeast corner of Ball Road and
Harbor Boulevard, and more commonly known as
1204 South Harbor Bou1evand, Anaheim, Cali-
fornia.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a pub-
lic hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon said peti-
tion on Jan~ar! 7, 1957 , notices or which said pUblic
hearings were dU y given as required by law and the provisions or
Seotion 9200.17 or the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, investiga-
tion and studies made by itself and in its behalf and a1'ter due
consideration of all evidence and reports orrered at said hearing,
did adopt its Resolution No. 13S , recommending to the City Coun-
cil or the City or Anaheim that Variance No. 684 be granted upon
the oonditions stated in said resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find that:
1. There are exceptional or extraordinar~ circum-
stances or conditions applicable to the property
involved or to the intended use or the property
that do not apply generally to the property or
class or use in the same vicinity and zone.
2. That such a variance is necessary ror the pre-
servation and enjoyment of R substantial propertr
right possessed by other propert~ in the same
vicinity and zone and denied to the property in
question.

3. That the granting of such vpriance will not be
materially detrimental to the public welfare or
injurious to the property or improvements in such
vicinity and zone in whioh the property is located.
4. That the granting of such varianoe will not ad-
versely arfect the comprehensive ~eneral zoning
plan.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council or the.
Cit;t. or Anaheim that a conditional zonjng variance be, and the
saMe is hereby granted to PLACIDO VEYNA and ANTHONY CASAS, 559
South Olive Street, Anaheim, California, to use the existing

residence situated on the property hereina~ove described, commonly
known as 1204 South Harbor Boulevard, as a restaurant for the sale
of food, wine and beer, subject to the following conditions:

That the owners of the property erect a six-foot masonry
wall along the East and South sides of subject property.
2. That curbs, gutters and sidewalks be installed on Harbor
Boulevard.

3. That the owners of subject property deed to the City of
Anaheim a strip of land ten feet in depth along Harbor
Boulevard.for street widening purposes.
