RESOLUTION NO. 3702
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM FINDING AND DETERMING THAT
A CHANGE OF ZONE IS NECESSARY IN CERTAIN
AREAS OF THE CITY AND THAT ARTICLE IX,
CHAPTER 2, OF THE ANAHEIM MUlliICIPAL CODE
SHOULD BE AMENDED TO ACCOMPLISH SAID CHANGE
OF ZONE.

WHEREAS, the City Planning CGmmission of the City of
Anaheim did fix a time and plaoe for the holding of a public
hearing to consider a proposed change in the boundaries of
the zone or zones hereinafter mentioned and described, in the
manner and as presoribed in Artiole IX, Chapter 2 of the Ana-
heim Munioipal Code, and did duly hold and conduct suoh pub-
lic hearing, and did reoeive evidence and reports from persons
interested therein; and
WHEREAS, within a period of forty (40) days following
the hearing thereon, the Planning Commission did duly announce
by formal resolution its findings of facts, but made no recom-
mendation as to the proposed changes in the boundaries of the
zone or zones hereinafter mentioned and described, due to the
fact that a motion to reclassify a portion of the property here-
inafter described did not carry; and
WHEREAS, upon reoeipt of the report of the City Planning
Commission, the City Council did thereupon fix the 26th day of
February, 1957, as the time and the Council Chambers in the City
Hall of the City of Anaheim as the place for a public hearing
upon said proposed change of zone and did give notice thereof in
the manner and as provided in said Artiole IX, Chapter 2 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and oonduot such publio
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an opportunity
to be heard and did receive evidence and reports from persons
interested therein; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
the property and area proposed to be changed from the zone in
whioh it is now situated to different zones as hereinafter set
forth, is more suitable for the zones to Which it is proposed
to change said property and area and that the inclusion of said
property and area in such new zones will increase the value of
said property and area and will not depreciate the values of pro-
perty in adjoining zones.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim that all of the property and area situated in the
City of Amaheim, County of Orange, State of California, described
as follows, to wit:
The East half (El) of the Northeast quarter (NEt)
of the Northeast quarter (NEt) of Section 17, Town-
ship 4 South, Range 10 West, S. B. B. & M.
(Said property is situated on the west side of
Euclid Avenue between Lincoln Avenue and Broadway.)

be changed trom R-A, RESIDENTIAL-AGRICULTURAL ZONE, to the
tollowing zones, upon the conditions hereinatter set torth:
That the Northeast corner of subject property,
150 feet by 150 feet, be changed to C-3, HEAVY
COMMERCIAL ZONE; and
That the remainder of the prQperty be reelassi-
ried C-l, NEIGHBORHOOD COMMERCIAL ZONE,
subject to the tollowing conditions:
1. That the owners 01' subject property deed to
the City of Anaheim a strip of land 10 feet
in depth along Broadway, and a strip of land
20 teet in depth along Euclid Avenue for
street widening purposes.
2. That the necessary negotiations be made for
the dedication to the State of California of
a strip of land 36 teet in depth along Lin-
coln Avenue for street widening purposes.
3. That all engineering requirements 01' the City
of Anaheim be complied with as required by
the City Engineer.
4. That the owners 01' subject property place 01'
record appropriate C-l, and C-3 Deed Restric-
tions as required by the City 01' Anaheim and
approved by the City Attorney.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Attorney be, and
he is hereby authorized and directed to prepare and submit to
the City Council an amendment to Article IX, Chapter 2 of the
Anaheim Municipal Code to amend said Anaheim Municipal Code to
accomplish the object herein found and determined to be nec-
essary and proper.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is signed and approved by me
this 26th day of February, 1957. /'
