AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 4155, NUNC PRO TUNC, RELATING
- TO FIXING AND LEVYING A PROPERTY TAX ON ALL
PROPERTY WITHIN THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1980-81.
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 4155 was adopted by the City
Council on August 26, 1980; and
WHEREAS, through inadvertence and clerical communication
error, the Ad Valorem tax rate for Fiscal Year 1980-81 was improperly
stated; and
WHEREAS, the City Council declares its intention to
correct said clerical error, nunc pro tunc.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That said Ordinance No. 4155 be, and the same is hereby,
amended, nunc pro tunc, to read as follows:
"That there be, and hereby is, fixed and levied a
property tax for the Fiscal Year 1980-81 of Four and Two
Tenths Cents ($0.042) on each One Hundred Dollars ($100.00)
of the assessed valuation of all real and personal property
within the corporate limits of the City of Anaheim, for the
purpose of paying the annual interest on bonds and such part
of the principal as will become due before the proceeds of
the next general tax levy will be available."
SECTION 2.
In all other conditions and respects Ordinance No. 4155
shall remain in full force and effect.
SF.CTTON 3.
This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency
measure and shall be in full force and effect immediately upon
its adoption. The facts constituting such emergency are that
M City of Anaheim Charter Section 1208 requires that the City
Council fix the rate and levy taxes on or before August 31 in
any year. The required financial data was not available early
enough to permit the adoption of a regular ordinance.

The adoption of this Ordinance as an emergency measure
is necessary for the immediate preservation of the peace, health,
safety and general welfare of the citizens and visitors to the
City of Anaheim.
SECTION 4.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published, and
circulated in said City and immediately upon and after its final
passage, it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by
the City Council of the City of Anaheim this 9th day of
September, 1980.
