CALL TO ORDER: Chair Cudd called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m.
2. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE: Commissioner Cook led the Pledge of Allegiance.
3. UNSCHEDULED PUBLIC COMMUNICATION: None.
4. SCHEDULED COMMUNICATION: None.
5. APPROVAL OF THE MINUTES: Chair Cudd presented the January 26, 2022 minutes to the Commissioners
for changes or corrections. Commissioner Balius requested to amend the "Commissioners Present" to
"Commissioners Absent". Commissioner Balius made a motion to accept the minutes as amended, seconded
by Commissioner Shah. The motion was approved with six votes in favor; Chair Cudd accepted the minutes.
6. REPORTS:
a) Parks Activity Report — January/February: JJ Jimenez presented the report and highlighted the assistance
of Love Anaheim with the installation of wood chips at 11 parks throughout the city, the renovated ballfields
at Glover Stadium and Juarez and Brookhurst parks, the opening of the renovated ballfield at Anaheim Hills
Elementary School, the delivery of shade trees to residents, and the reservations of athletic fields and
picnic shelters.
Questions were answered regarding Love Anaheim assisting with more complex park projects.
b) Park Ranger Report — February: Anaheim Sporn presented the report and highlighted the number of
patrols, patrons, public contacts, curfew and alcohol contacts made by Park Rangers. The Park Ranger
section will continue to hire new staff in order to maximize the number of patrols. The Park Rangers
continue to assist with locking restrooms and gates and to assist park patrons.
c) Parks Capital Project Progress Report: JJ Jimenez presented the report and highlighted the following
projects: Aloe Promenade, Brookhurst Teen Center, Center Greens, and OC River Walk. Sjany Larson -
Cash reported the Capital Projects Team has been awarded with a $5,000,000 grant from the Coastal
Conservancy for OC River Walk, a $2,600,000 grant from Clean California Cities for La Palma Promenade
and parking lot, and $2,000,000 grant from Congressman Lou Correa's office for a federal earmark for the
soccer fields at La Palma Park.

Questions were answered regarding the grant funding.
7. INFORMATIONAL ITEMS: Anaheim Sporn reported the Volunteer Recognition Luncheon will be held on
March 29t" at the City National Grove, and the new Summer Activity Guide has been published.
