A .ESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TEL CITY
OF ANAHEIR ORDERING THE VACATION AND ABANDON
N',ENT OF A PORTION OF AN EASE N L T FOR ROAD
PURPOSES, TO VIT, A PORTION OF A STEARNS
RANCHO RESERVATION UPON, OVER, ACROSS AND
ALONG THE niREINAFTER DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim, a
iiunicipal Corporation of the State of California, did, on the
11th day of October, 1966, pass its Resolution NO. 661 -651
entitled, "RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANA IN DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE AND ABANDON A PORTION
OF AN EASEMENT FOR ROAD PURPOSES, TO WIT, A PORTION OF A STEARNS
RANCHO RESERVATION, UPON OVER, ACROSS AND ALONG TEL HEREINAFTER
DESCRIBED REAL PROPERTY FIXING A TIKE AND PLACE FOR A 'HEARING
THEREON AND DIRECTING TEE POSTING OF NOTICES THEREOF AND THE
PUBLICATION OF THIS RESOLUTIO3, whereby it declared its inten-
tion to vacate and abandon and close to public use a portion of
an easement for road purposes, to wit, a portion of a Stearns
Rancho Reservation, upon, over, across and along the hereinafter
described property, under the provisions of the Street Vacation
Act of 1941; and
vWHEREAS, the City Council in said resolution referred
to a map on file in the Office of the City Clerk for further
particulars as to the proposed vacation, abandonment and closing
to public use of said portion of said Stearns Rancho Reservation;
and
WHEREAS, said City Council did by said resolution fix
the 1st day of November, 1966, at 1:30 o'clock P.N. in the Council
Chamber in the City hall of the City of Anaheim as the time and
place for a public hearing on the matter of such vacation, aban-
donment and closing to public use of said portion of said Stearns
Rancho Reservation, for all persons interested in or objecting
to such proposed vacation, abandonment and closing to public
use to appear and show cause, if any they had, why such portion
of said Stearns Rancho Reservation should not be vacated, aban-
doned and closed to public use; and
WHEREAS, said resolution was published on the 20th day
of October, 1966, in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper of general
circulation, printed, published and circulated in the City of
Anaheim, Orange County, California; and
WHEREAS, by said resolution said City Council directed
that notices of the passage of said resolution and of the time
and place of the hearing on the matter of the vacation, abandon-
ment, and closing to public use of said portion of said Stearns
Rancho Reservation be posted conspicuously along the line of said
portion of said Stearns Rancho Reservation proposed to be vacated,
not more than 300 feet apart, at least ten (10) nays before said
nearing, and that not less than three (3) such notices should
be posted; and
WHEREAS, Donald R. O'Donnell did on the 20th day of
October, 1966, post conspicuously not less than three (3) such
notices, which notices were posted not more than 300 feet apart,

and were posted along the line of said portion of said Stearns
Rancho Reservation proposed" to be vacated at least ten (10)
days before said hearing; and
WHEREAS, said City Council did on the 1st day of
November, 1966, at 1;30 o'clock P.:.. in the Council Chambers in
said City hall in the City of Anaheim, conduct a public hearing
on the smatter of whether said portion of said Stearns Rancho
eservation, hereinafter described, should be vacated, abandoned
and closed to public use, and at said hearing did hear evidence
thereon; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds from all of the
evidence submitted that said portion of said Stearns rancho
Reservation described in the Resolution of Intention and here-
inafter described, is unnecessary for present or prospective
road purposes, and that an order vacating such portion of said
Stearns Rancho Reservation as described in the Resolution of
Intention should be made by the City Council.
i4OU, THEREFORE, BE IT yWSOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Anaheim::
1. That it finds the recitals hereinbefore set
forth in this resolution to be true;
2. That it finds from all the evidence submitted
that said portion of said Stearns Rancho Reservation described
in said resolution is unnecessary for present or prospective
public purposes;
3. That it does hereby order that said portion of
easement for road purposes, to wit, a portion of a Stearns
Rancho Reservation, be, and it is hereby, vacated, abandoned
and closed to public use;
4. That said portion of easement for road purposes,
to wit, a portion of a Stearns Rancho Reservation, herein
ordered vacated, abandoned and closed to public use is that
portion described in said Resolution Lo. 66R-651, is situated
in the City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California,
and is more particularly described as follows:
That portion of Stearns Rancho Reservation for road
purposes, located within Section 25, Township 4 South,
Range 10 West, S.E.B. A., also being a portion of
Lot 2 of Tract iv''o. 71, in the City of Anaheim, County
of Orange, State of California, as said Lot 2 is shown
on a iiap of said Tract o. 71, recorded in Book 10,
page 22, of Miscellaneous Aaps, records of Orange
County, California, described as follows:
Beginning at the point of intersection of the Lasterly
line of the Westerly 30.00 feet of said Section 25 with
the Easterly line of State College Boulevard, as des-
cribed in geed to the City of Anaheim, recorded August
3, 1962 in Look 6201, page 437 of Official Records;
thence South 0° 09' 03" East along said Easterly line
of the Westerly 30.00 feet of Section 25, a distance of
420.88 feet to a point in the Southerly boundary line
of the land described in deed to William C. Sangster and
wife, and Lonnie A. Dunn and wife, recorded June 11,
1964 in Book 7083, page 626 of Official Records; thence
South 89° 59' 00" West along said Southerly boundary
line 10.09 feet to point in said Easterly line of
State College Boulevard; thence North 0° 09' 03" West
along said Easterly line of State College Boulevard
269.09 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve in
said Easterly line, concave Easterly having a radius
of 1147.00 feet; thence Northerly along said curve
through a central angle of 7° 36' 16'• an arc distance
of 152.23 feet to the point of beginning.
AND BE IT FURThER RESOLVE) that the City Clerk be,
and she is hereby, authorized and directed to cause a certified
copy of this resolution and order, attested by her under the
seal of the City of Anaheim, to be recorded in the Office of
the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
