ORDINANCE NO. 4349
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM ADDING
SECTION 1.04.995 TO CHAPTER 1.04 OF TITLE 1
OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
OFFICERS AND DEPARTMENTS.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS
SECTION 1.
That new Section 1.04.995 be, and the same is hereby, added
to Chapter 1.04 of Title I of the Anaheim Municipal Code to read as
follows:
"SECTION 1.04.995 INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT BOARD
.010 Establishment. An Industrial
Development Board is hereby established in accordance with the
provisions of Section 900 of the Charter of the City of Anaheim.
.020 Membership. The Industrial Development
Board shall consist of five members, none of whom shall hold any
paid office or employment in the City Government, and none of
whom need be electors of the City of Anaheim.
.030 Appointment and Removal. The members
of the Industrial Development Board shall be appointed by the City
Council and shall be subject to removal at any time by motion of
the City Council adopted by the affirmative votes of the majority
thereof.
.040 Terms of Appointment. Each member of
the Board shall serve for a term of four years or until their
respective successors are appointed and qualified; provided, how-
ever, that the terms of the Board members first appointed shall
be as designated by the City Council at the time of their appoint-
ments as follows:
two on the thirtieth day of June of the first year
following appointment;
one on the thirtieth day of June of the second year
following appointment;
one on the thirtieth day of June of the third year
following appointment; and
one on the thirtieth day of June of the fourth year
following appointment.

.050 Vacancies. Any vacancy occurring before
the expiration of the term of a Board member shall be filled by
appointment by the City Council for the remainder of such term.
.060 Organization and Meetings. The Board
shall, as soon as practical after its organization and each
year thereafter, elect a Chairman and Vice Chairman in accord-
ance with the provisions of Section 904 of the Anaheim City
Charter. Meetings of the Board shall be conducted in accordance
with Section 904 of the Anaheim City Charter; provided, however,
that the Board shall meet at least one time during each calendar
year. A regular meeting time may be established by the Board.
A majority of the members of the Board shall constitute a quorum.
.070 No Salary. Members of the Board
shall serve at no salary.
.080 Powers and Duties. The Industrial
Development Board is an advisory body and, as such, shall have
the power and duty to:
.0801 Hold public meetings and advise the
City Council, Industrial Development Authority and other boards
and commissions of the City concerning matters relating to
industrial development.
.0802 Review and make recommendations to
the City Council and Industrial Development Authority concerning
any industrial development bonds.
.0803 Perform such additional duties and
functions as may be required from time to time by resolution of
the City Council.
.0804 Receive administrative support and
assistance from the staff of the Community Development Department
for purposes of performing the duties and functions specified
herein."
SECTION 2.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this or-
dinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within fifteen
(15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin, a newspaper
of general circulation, printed, published and circulated in said
City, and thirty (30) days from and after its final passage, it
shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and adopted by the
City Council of the City of Anaheim this 20th day of July, 1982.
