The current 3 hour evacuation time is completely unacceptable. To add 24 minutes is unconscionable. You need to fix the evacuation times before considering any development. Your number one priority is to protect human life. I don’t know where we are as a society when those elected to protect us can’t stick to that core value. It isn’t up for negotiation. The Know Your Way plan is a flawed, untested, largely unreleased utopian view of fire evacuation. I watched the presentation meeting in its entirety and was appalled at the lack of real-world considerations that went into it. The City Planning Commission seemed to rely heavily on this "plan" when making their decision. The people in the upper hills, with the greatest fire risk, only have 2 main pathways to evacuate: Weir Canyon and Nohl Ranch Road. By adding 1000 cars on Santa Ana Canyon Road, you dramatically increase the evacuation time for those in the riskiest areas by clogging up the evacuation routes. The Fire Chief, Police Chief, City Staff, and Residents all oppose this project. If you are a decent and reasonable person, you will see how dangerous this project is for the safety of the residents of Anaheim and vote against it. Please do the right thing. 1 Thanks, Andrew Winger 6716 E. Kentucky Ave Anaheim, CA 92807 2
