Subject: Urgent Request to STOP the Deer Canyon Project
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to express my strong opposition to the proposed Deer Canyon project in Anaheim Hills,
which plans to construct a new luxury apartment tower in our community.
This project poses several significant risks to our area. First and foremost, it will exacerbate the already
high traffic congestion as it leads to the 91 freeway. Our roads are currently at capacity, and adding more
residences will create an even more dangerous situation for commuters and residents alike.
Additionally, the construction will have a detrimental impact on the local wildlife and natural habitat. Our
region is home to various species that rely on these areas for their survival. The loss of habitat due to this
development will disrupt the ecosystem and threaten biodiversity in our community.
Furthermore, we are increasingly concerned about the potential risks this project poses during wildfire
season. The added density will make evacuations more challenging, putting lives at risk during
emergencies. It is essential that we prioritize the safety and well-being of our community, especially in
light of the growing threat of wildfires in California.
I would also like to highlight that this project has faced significant pushback from the police, firefighters,
and members of our community. Their concerns underscore the urgent need to reconsider the
implications of this development.
I urge you to STOP the Deer Canyon project and listen to the voices of those who call Anaheim Hills
home. Our community's safety, environment, and quality of life must take precedence.
Thank you for your attention to this pressing matter.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Hillyer
