Subject:\[EXTERNAL\] Hills Preserve Salt Development

I am writing as a resident of East Anaheim/Anaheim Hills. I live up Weir Canyon and oppose this large
development being proposed. My two biggest concerns are traffic and evacuations. We live in a fire zone
and now have a hard time getting fire insurance. Adding 500+ more residents that would need to
evacuate would be impossible, as it was proven difficult to evacuate during the last fire for those already
living here. Traffic along Santa Ana Canuon and all of the back roads leading to the 91 freeway are
already a nightmare on a daily basis and make it difficult to just drive within the city during peak hours.
This development would add to this problem. Finally, this is a large wildlife preserve that, despite the
developers stating they would keep a portion dedicated to the preserve, it would greatly impact the
ecosystem and the wildlife habitats that we continuously encroach upon. Please reconsider this project
and maybe just approve the development being built where the old movie theater was behind the Festival
shopping center.
Thank you,
