To whom it may concern,
I have been a resident of Anaheim Hill’s for twenty-eight years. I have seen the popula?on growth that’s occurred in the
area. The traffic conges?on on major commuter street’s (Santa Ana Canyon Rd. par?cularly) has increased
tremendously.
In 2017 we had a major brush fire here in Anaheim Hills. I worked at Canyon Rim elementary school at the ?me. I
witnessed resident’s rushing home to check on their houses, I witnessed resident’s trying to flee the area, I witnessed
parent’s rushing to the school to get their children, I witnessed school buses packed with student’s and the buses could
not move even two feet due to the amount of cars that were on the road at the ?me. What should have been a nine or
ten minute drive, took the buses well over an hour to arrive at Canyon High school, the evacua?on spot at the ?me.
We live in a more rural area with only a couple of main streets i.e. Santa Ana Canyon Rd., Weir Canyon Rd., Imperial. Not
if, but when another brush fire breaks out. The current popula?on of resident’s must be able to evacuate the area in a
?mely manner. Those student’s who a?end Running Springs, Canyon Rim, as well as resident’s who live and work in the
area..our/their lives are at stake.
If you add more housing, people, vehicles to the already congested roads in Anaheim Hills I foresee tragedies happening.
You don’t want another Lahaina, Maui on your conscience. For the above reasons listed, I am vehemently opposed to
the SALT project being built in Anaheim Hills.
