I am very concerned about the traffic situation as it is NOW not even considering the proposed projects. When we had the Blue Ridge fire in 2020, I was at Home Depot in Savi Ranch. It came so quick that when I drove home, the underpass brush had caught fire and the corner of Weir Canyon and Santa Ana Canyon was in flames. The smoke was so thick I could hardly breathe. It took me 55 minutes to try to get back home. It is 2.9 miles and a 10 minute drive. Several months ago, my sister in law came to visit for the day. She left to go home to Corona at approx. 3:30pm. There was an accident on the 91 freeway (as usual) but Santa Ana Canyon was at a complete stop because people were exiting all the way back to Lincoln to try to get off the freeway. She finally made it to Islands Restaurant, to try to turn around and come back. That took another 35 minute to turn through the parking lot and come back to SAC Rd. Last Friday I went to Vons on Imperial and SAC Rd. It took 45 minutes for me to get back home. No traffic accident on the freeway but assuming residents wanted to watch the Dodger game. These are only a few incidents that are very frustrating. There are many more. I have tried to shop or go places around traffic times but now it seems that all hours are heavy traffic times. Please, please consider evacuation when you vote on the Deer Canyon project. These same 1500 cars ( average household 2+ cars) will be using the same roads that even now have been difficult to drive. Thank you, Patricia Nord Anaheim, CA 92807 1
