PUBLIC COMMENT FOR ITEM 14 10/29/2024 COUNCIL MEETING: The city of Fullerton's public works project to update Orangethorpe Blvd has been long overdue and several service requests to the City of anaheim to fix the potholes along its portion of Orangethorpe have been unresponsive. Please approve and expedite this item as it is much needed. ITEM 31 The threat of a builder's remedy by SALT is the worst possible option for the area. Rather than complaining about lack of evacuation planning and preparedness, it would behoove City staff to come up with immediate alternatives to what is bound to happen...more development. Local control doesn't mean affordable housing will not be developed, it only means that those who show up in masses will be heard. Please ask City Staff to submit a proposal for evacuation plans, extra law enforcement, Santa Ana Canyon widening and safety measures, Weir Canyon exit and entry upgrades etc. Denying a development is no longer the solution, rather identifying ways to mitigate risks is the responsibility of local government officials. There is a huge demand to live in Anaheim Hills, hence why the developer has an incentive to build. Please negotiate better terms with the developer rather than forcing him to take advantage of the State's mandates. 1
