My name is Lori Gutierrez.
Anaheim Ca 92808.
I am against the Hills Preserve.
Our Fire Chief, Police Chief, and our City Staff are paid professionals and oppose this development as well.
Here are some of the facts that the Planning Commission ignored:
*The Santa Ana Canyon’s steep topography and East / West alignment serve as a wind funnel. The geography increases
the wind speed and magnifies the effects of a fire contributing to the rapid rate of fire spread.
*Encroachment of civilization into wild urban interface, enhances the severity of wildland fires during Santa Ana wind
conditions.
*The freeway complex fire consumed over 10,000 acres in the first 12 hours which is roughly 14 acres per minute
which is nearly the length of 14 football fields every 60 seconds.
*Drivers could not keep up with the flames from the fire, even while traveling over 50 mph on the 91 freeway trying to
escape the flames. (Above information is quoted from the After Action Report from OCFA Freeway Complex Fire) Nov.

Citizens could not evacuate and congregated in the festival center for hours before finding their way to safety.
SALT states that focusing solely on evacuation misses the point and is contrary to the city’s own wildfire
strategy.
What strategy might that be in light of the fact that the Fire Chief, the Police Chief and City Staff oppose this
project.
Finally, Lucille Kring, Stephen Faessel and others have received compensation for their support for this project. Who else
in the Anaheim might be benefiting from this project?
It is malpractice for our City Council to agree to increase the fire danger for the citizen’s living in Anaheim Hills.
You are responsible to the citizens of this city not a developer that lives safely 10+ hours away.
