As a resident of Anaheim Hills I am strongly opposed to the Salt Development Project of Deer Canyon. I
have been a resident since the late 80’s. The developments in this area has
Made this area impossible to get around with all the residents and outside commuters.
I am worried not only about traffic, but also the high fire danger and evacuation process, the impact of
over crowding in our schools.
With the festival area also proposing additional apartments the increase of the two projects will add a
minimum of 1000 - 2000 vehicles.
Also, it’s my understanding that we will be required to also add affordable housing per state law. Which
seems these projects have only carved out a small number of affordable housing. Does that even satisfy
our obligation for having low income housing in this area?
The traffic is already maxed out and it’s become so difficult to get anywhere in the area. With only limited
ways to get in and out of this already heavily burden traffic issues.
My solution for shopping will be to travel in the opposite direction to shop in the city of Orange. It may not
mean much to lose the sales tax I currently contribute to, but there will also be people like me that
choose to stop and do their errands in other cities in lieu of sitting in traffic.
