Dear City Council Members,
Please listen to your constituents. The Deer Canyon project should NOT be approved. Have any of
you been on Santa Ana Canyon Road, Weir Canyon, La Palma, and now even Serrano, during the
late afternoon or evening on a weekday? Is it just to become our way of life in Anaheim Hills for it
to take 45 minutes to get to Ralphs or Costco for a shopping run or gas? Do the voices and educated
opinions of the fire chief and APD not carry any validity? Do any of you remember what it was like
to evacuate? Have any of you seen what the traffic has been like the last two Fridays?
The notion that "it's time for the hills to get their fair share" is absurd and offensive. It makes this
project approval seem more of a 'us vs them' than anything founded on reason or logic. We did not
move to Anaheim Hills over 20 years ago from Los Angeles County to be faced with this type of
growth. We are all for growth. The right growth for the existing infrastructure and the aesthetics
of the community. This project is not it.
We are not only residents, but also business owners in Anaheim Hills. We made a choice to live and
move our business to Anaheim Hills. We appreciated the safety, the community, the
suburbia. This project will change it all. It will be the first and then it will be the first of
several.
Do what's right and vote no today, please!
