AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM REPEALING
TITLE 18, CHAPTER 18.22, SECTION 18.22.06.1,
SUBSECTION 18.22.061.010, AND TITLE 18,
CHAPTER 18.84, SECTION 18.84.038, SUBSECTION
18.84.038.0303 AND ENACTING NEW SUBSECTIONS
IN THEIR PLACE AND STEAD PERTAINING TO ZONING.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM DOES
ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Title 18, Chapter 18.22, Section 18.22.061,
Subsection 18.22.061.010, and Title 18, Chapter 18.84,
Section 18.84.038, Subsection 18.84.038.030 be, and the
same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 2.
That Title 18, Chapter 18.22, Section 18.22.061,
Subsection 18.22.061.010, and Title 18, Chapter 18.84,
Section 18.84.038, Subsection 18.84.038.030 be, and they are
hereby added to the Anaheim Municipal Code to read as follows:
1118.22.061 BUILDING SITE REQUIREMENTS
.010 Minimum lot area and density. The
minimum lot size shall be one (1) acre
(forty-three thousand five hundred sixty
square feet) excluding dedicated streets
and/or public easements for ingress and
egress, provided that lots of record on
the effective date of this chapter,
regardless of area, shall be deemed to
comply with this provision. Further
provided that not more than one (1) single-
family dwelling per acre with its accessory
buildings may be erected or located in this
zone.
18.84.038 TREE PRESERVATION
.030 Appeal
Any decision made regarding approval for
removal or destruction of any Specimen
Trees may be appealed by the property
owner or any affected resident or property
owner in the City of Anaheim to the
Planning Commission. The decision of the
Planning Commission shall be final unless
appealed to the City Council by either the
applicant or an opponent provided written
notice of such appeal shall be filed with
the City Clerk within fifteen (15) days
from the date of the Commission's action
on the matter. A permit for tree removal
which is approved by action of the Planning
Commission as provided in this section
shall not be issued prior to the expira-
tion of the appeal period. A tree removal
permit shall not be issued prior to action
by the City Council if an appeal has been
filed."

"SECTION 2.
SEVERABILITY. The City Council of the City of Anaheim
hereby declares that should any section, paragraph, sentence or
word of this chapter of the Code hereby adopted be declared for
any reason to be invalid,. it is the intent of the Council that
it would have passed all other portions of this chapter indepen-
dent of the elimination herefrom of any such portion as may be
declared invalid.
SECTION 3.
The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage, it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me
this 2nd day of November , 1976.
