AN ORDINANCE OF TILE CITY OF ANAHEIM
m SUSPENDING THE POWERS OF THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT COMMISSION AND REPEALING
CHAPTER 1.24 OF THE ANAHEIM MUNICIPAL
CODE.
WHEREAS, the Community Development Commission
was created pursuant to Section 34110 of the Health and
Safety Code in order to operate and govern the Anaheim
Redevelopment Agency and the Anaheim Housing Authority
under a single operating entity pursuant to Section
34112 of the Health and Safety Code; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency and
the Anaheim housing Authority are separate public bodies
corporate and politic; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency and
Anaheim Housing Authority have continued in existence as
separate public bodies during the existence of the
Community Development Commission; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 34125 of the Health
and Safety Code, it is hereby determined that there is no
further need for the Community Development Commission; and
WHEREAS, the Anaheim Redevelopment Agency and
Anaheim Housing Authority have and will continue to exist
as separate public bodies, corporate and politic.
A101-1. THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
ANAHEIM DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1.
That Chapter 1.24 of the Anaheim Municipal Code
be, and the same is hereby, repealed.
SECTION 2.
That the capacity of the Community Development
Commission to transact business or exercise any powers is
hereby suspended.
SECTION 3.
That the City Clerk be, and she is hereby,
authorized and directed to file certified copies of this
ordinance with the Secretary of State of the State of
California and with the Department of Housing and Community
Development of the State of California.
SECTIOi4 4.
S3_VERABILITY. The City Council of the City of Anaheim
hereby declares that should any section, paragraph, sentence or
word of this chapter of the Code hereby adopted be declared for
any reason to be invalid, it is the intent of the Council that
it would have passed all other portions of this chapter indepen-

dent of the elimination herefrom of any such portion as may be
declared invalid.
SECTION 5.
The Cite Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
ordinance and shall cause the same to be printed once within
fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the Anaheim Bulletin,
a newspaper of ;;eneral circulation, printed, published and
circulated in said. City, and thirty (30) days from and after
its final passage, it shall take effect and be in full force.
THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE is approved and signed by me
this 27th day of April , 1076.
