A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ANAHEIM
APPROVING A LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING BETWEEN THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM AND THE INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD,
OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS, LOCAL 47
WHEREAS, the Human Resources Director met and conferred with officials and
employee representatives of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47 to
discuss specific concerns relative to amending Article 17 Salary Relationships and Appendix "A"
Wages, of the Memorandum of Understanding between the City of Anaheim and the
International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 47; and
WHEREAS, a Letter of Understanding between the parties has been prepared and
signed amending Article 17 Salary Relationships and Appendix "A" Wages, of the Memorandum
of Understanding, said amendment to be effective September 3, 1999; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does find that it is in the best
interests of the City of Anaheim to approve said Letter of Understanding.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Anaheim that
the Letter of Understanding dated September 3, 1999 between the International Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers, Local 47, and the City of Anaheim, a copy of which is attached hereto and
incorporated by reference herein, is hereby approved and the Memorandum of Understanding
between the parties is hereby amended in accordance with the terms of said Letter of
Understanding.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and adopted by the City Council of the
City of Anaheim this 14tb. day of September 1999.

LETTER OF UNDERSTANDING

and the
CITY OF ANAHEIM
The City of Anaheim ("ANAHEIM") and the Intemational Brotherhood of
Electrical Workers, Local 47 ("UNION"), after meeting and conferring have reached an
understanding to amend Article 17 (Salary Relationships) and Appendix "A" Wages of
the Memorandum of Understanding between the Union and the City of Anaheim, in
order to modify the salary relationship for the classifications of Utilities Service Worker
and Senior Utilities Worker. The parties agree to the following provisions:
Effective the first pay pedod following approval of this Letter of Understanding by
the Anaheim City Council, Article 17 (Salary Relationships) will be amended, as
follows, to reflect the deletion of the classification of Credit Field Representative,
and to reflect a change in the salary relationship and title for the classifications of
Utilities Service Worker and Senior Utilities Service Worker.

SALARY RELATIONSHIPS
17.1
ANAHEIM and the UNION agree that wages for all classifications represented by
UNION shall be based on the salary relationships shown below:

The first pay period following approval of this Letter of Understanding by the
Anaheim City Council each full-time employee who is classified as (or has been
