A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM DENYING CONDITIONAL USE
PERMIT NO. 266
WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission of the City of
Anaheim did receive a request for a Conditional Use Permit from
STANDARD OIL OF CALIFORNIA, 605 West Olympic Boulevard, Los
Angeles 54, California, to build two 10 by 25 feet steel bill-
boards on the following described property situated in the City
of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, to wit:
That portion of the Northwest quarter of the Northwest
quarter of Section Thirteen, Township Four South, Range
Eleven West, S.B.B. M.,described as follows:
Beginning at the most Easterly corner of land described
as Parcel 3 in Deed to the State of California, recorded
August 10th, 1951 in Book 2215, page 106 of Official
Records, said point being in the South line of the North
66.00 feet of said Section Thirteen, and distant
North 89 22' 50" East 86.00 feet from the intersection
of said South line with the West line of said Section
Thirteen; thence North 89 22' 50 East along said South
line a distance of 155.00 feet; thence South 0 28' 30"
East parallel with the West line of said Section Thirteen,
a distance of 175.00 feet; thence South 89 22' 50" West
parallel with the North line of said Section Eleven to
a curve in the Easterly line of land described as
Parcel 2 in said deed to the State of California above
described, concave Easterly, having a radius of 15934.00
feet; thence Northerly along said curve to the Northerly
terminus thereof; thence tangent to said curve
North 0 28' 30" West 114.17 feet to the most Southerly
corner of said Parcel 3 above described; thence
North 44 27' 10" East to the point of beginning.
AND WHEREAS, the City Planning Commission did hold a
public hearing at the City Hall in the City of Anaheim upon
said request on May 13, 1963 notices of which
said public hearing were duly given as required by law and the
provisions of Title 18, Chapter 18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal
Code; and
WHEREAS, said Commission, after due inspection, in-
vestigation and studies made by itself and in its behalf and
after due consideration of all evidence and reports offered at
said hearing, did adopt its Resolution No. 749--Series 1162=L3,

and
WHEREAS, thereafter, within twenty -two (22) days from
the date of the adoption of said resolution, a written appeal
was filed with the City Council protesting the action of the
City Planning Commission in denying said Conditional
Use Permit and said appeal was set for public hearing on

J 1 16 19 63 at the City Hall, in the City
of Anaheim, and notices of such public hearing were duly given
as required by law and the provisions of Title 18, Chapter
18.76 of the Anaheim Municipal Code; and
WHEREAS, at the time and place fixed for said public
hearing, the City Council did duly hold and conduct such
hearing and did give all persons interested therein an oppor-
tunity to be heard and did receive evidence and reports; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find, after careful
consideration of the recommendations of the City Planning
Commission and all evidence and reports offered at said hear-
ing, that Conditional Use Permit No. 266 should be denied.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that the action of the City Planning Com-
mission denying Conditional Use Permit No. 266 be,
and the same is hereby sustained and that the request of
Standard Oil Company, 605 West Olympic Boulevard, Los Angeles
54, California, for a Conditional Use Permit to build two
10 by 25 feet steel billboards on the property hereinbefore
described, be, and the same is hereby denied.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me

ABSENT: COUNCILMEN: None
AND I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Mayor of the City of
Anaheim approved and signed said Resolution No. 63R -604 on the
16th day of July, 1963.
