A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION OF AN
AGREEMENT BETWEEN GREAT WESTERN LAND CO. AND
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM WITH REFERENCE TO THE CON-
STRUCTION OF A SEWER LINE IN TRACT NO. 4427.
WHEREAS, Great Western Land Co., a California Corpora-
tion, the developer of Tract No. 4427, would be required to
install lateral sewer lines, with wyes and manholes, to service
Tract No. 4427, which is located east of Jefferson Street between
Santa Ana Canyon Road and the Santa Ana River; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to install a collector sewer
line large enough to service other areas; and
WHEREAS, said developer has heretofore delivered to
the City a Deed of Easement in Tract No. 4427; and
WHEREAS, the City desires said easement for public
utility purposes; and
WHEREAS, said developer has delivered the above
mentioned easement at no cost to the City but in exchange for the
installation of a sewer line within the easement heretofore men-
tioned; and
WHEREAS, the City and said developer desire to enter
into an agreement for the construction of said sewer line and for
the payment of their proportionate share of the costs of said
sewer.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that an agreement be made and entered into by
and between the City and. Great Western Land. Co., developer of
said tract, embodying the following terms and conditions:
1. The City of Anaheim shall construct a sewer line
15 inches in diameter within the easement granted
to the City by said developer, with wyes to be in-
stalled at locations specified by said developer.
2. Upon completion of said sewer construction within
said tract boundaries, the City shall bill and
developer shall pay for the cost of all wyes in-
stalled within the tract area at the contract
price obtained by the City from the lowest re-
sponsible bidder and for additional manholes within
the tract area, if any, at the contract price ob-
tained by the City from the lowest responsible
bidder.
3. Developer may request additional manholes within
the tract area at the location best suited for
tract development.
4. When the developer commences the sewer development,
as a consideration for the right to use the sewer
as a tract service sewer, he shall pay to the City
the cost of a normal 8 -inch vitrified clay pipe
sewer line installation. Said cost shall be based

on bid prices obtained by the developer for
similar 8 -inch vitrified clay pipe sewer lines
within the tract development.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Clerk
be and they are hereby authorized to sign such agreement for and
on behalf of the City of Anaheim.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 18th day of June 1963.
