A. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM ASOERTAINING .AND DE'fERHINIKG TI:IE
PREVAILING RATE OF WAGES TO BE PAID FOR EACH
CRAFT OR TYPE OF WORXHAN OR HEOHANIC NEEDED
FOR PUBLIC WORKS CON1'R.AOTS FOR THE FURNISH-
ING OF ALL MATERIALS, PLANT, LABOR AND S:o.-
VI CES FOR THE REMODELING OF EXISTING FLOOD-
LIGHT FACILITIES AT THE ANAHEIH OITY PARK, IN
THE CITY OF ANAHEIM, JOB NO. 413.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Anaheim does
find and determine that public convenience and necessity require
the acquisition of materials, plant, labor and services for a
pUblic improvement oonsisting of the remodeling of existing flood-
light facilities at the Anaheim Oity Park, in the Oity of Anaheia,
Job 10. 413j and
WHEREAS, Seotion 1170 of the Labor Code of the State of
Callfornla requires that the Oity Counoil asoertain and determine
the general prevailing rate of hourly wages and rates for legal
holidays and overtime work on pUblio works and improvements in the
looality in whioh the work is to be performed, ffJ)r eaoh craft or
type of workaan, laborer or meohanio needed for the exeoutlon of
suoh public oontraots and the making ot suoh publio improvements,
and for the furnishing of all plant, labor, services, materials and
equipment and performing all work neoessary for the exeoution and
oompletion of suoh pUblio oontraots or improvementsj
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Oounoil of
the City of Anaheim that, in aooordanoe with the prOVisions of
Section 1770 of the Labor Code of the State of Oalifornia, the
City Oouncil has asoertained and does hereby determine the general
prevailing rate of hourly wages and rates for legal holidays and
overtime work on pUblio works, and the publio improvement oonsist-
ing of the remodeling of existing floodlight faoilities at the
Anabeim Oity Park, in the Oity of Anaheim, Job No. 413, in the
looality in whioh suoh work is to be performed, and eaoh oraft or
type of laborer, workman or meohanic needed for the execution of
pablic works oontraots Or oontraots for furnishing all plant,
I!I&terials, labor, servioes and equipment for the publio 1mprove-
ment oonsisting of the remodeling of existing floodlight faoilities
at the Anaheim C1ty Park, in the City of Anaheim, Job No. 413,
and that said prevailing rates so determined are as follows:

All foremen, unless separately olassified, shall be paid
as provided in the May, 1956 revision of the A.G.e., B.C.A., H.B.I.,
K.G.C.A., A.F.L.-C.I.O. Southern California Kaster Labor Agreement.
Apprentioes may be employed in oonformity with Seotion
1777.5 of the California Labor Code.
The rates of per diem wages for eaoh of the various
olassifioations of work shall be the hereinbefore set forth prevail-
ing rates of hourly wages multiplied by eight, Eight hours shall
oonstitute a day's work, it being understood that in the event that
workaen are employed less than eight hours per day the per diem
wage shall be that fraotion of the per diem wage herein established
that the nWlber of hours of employment bears to eight hours.
The overtime rule establish1ng the rates of overtime and
holiday work shall be in aooordanoe with the following: Where a
single shift is worked, eight hours of oontinuous employaent,
exoept for lunoh periods, shall oonstitute a day's work beginning
on Konday and oontinuing through Friday eaoh week. Where work is
required in exoess of eight hours in any one day or during the
interval of time from 5:00 o'olook P.K. Friday and 12:00 o'olook
midnight Saturday, suoh work shall be paid for at the minimum rate
of one and one-half times the basio rate of wages, and on Sundays
and holidays suoh work shall be paid for at the minimum rate of
double the basio rate of wages, exoept as otherwise provided in
the Kay, 1956 revision of the A.G.e., B.O.A., H.B.I., E.G.C.A.,
A.F.L.-C.I.O. Southern California Master Labor Agreement.
Holidays as herein referred to shall be deemed to be
New Year', Day, Decoration Day, Independenoe Day, Labor Day,
Armistioe Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. If any of the
above mentioned holidays, other than Labor Day and Thanksgiving
Day, falls on Sunday, the follOWing Honday shall be considered a
legal holiday.
It shall be mandatory upon the oontraotor to whoa the
oontract is awarded and upon any suboontraotor under him to pay not
less than the said speoified rates of wages to all laborers,
workaen and aeohanios employed by them in the exeoution of the
oontraot.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
this 19th day of November, 1957.
