Existing concrete tiles are being removed and reused to provide new felt roofing underlayment. No
increase in dead loads. In addition, calculations show that existing roof framing members are adequate
to support the existing concrete tile, it is therefore, our opinion that re -roofing with same concrete tile
will not compromise the structural integrity of the roof system at the above -named project address.
The determination of the roof's structural integrity is based on visual observation and known
mechanical properties of wood. After re -roofing, a small amount of deflection in the rafters may be
observed. This condition is cosmetic and should not affect the structural integrity of the roof framing.
Instructions to Roofer:
1. Remove and replace any damaged plywood sheathing prior to placement of new 301bs underlayment felt paper.

indicted above.
NOTE: This certification is only used when normal access to the interior of the dwelling by the City of Anaheim
Inspector is not achieved during the course of project construction. It is normally used for exterior projects such
as re -roofing, re -siding, patio covers, solar photovoltaic installations, and similar exterior construction work.
