63-0430A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF ANAHEIM DETERMINING THE NECESSITY FOR, AND
DIRECTING THE ACQUISITION BY EMINENT DOMAIN,
OF REAL PROPERTY FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES.
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 63R -345 authorized the opening
of an escrow in connection with the acquisition of the property
described herein and was based upon the alternate of acquisition
by eminent domain; and
WHEREAS, to reflect the intent of such resolution and
to effect acquisition in the event such escrow should fail, the
within resolution will establish the right of the City of Anaheim
to proceed to acquire such property by eminent domain; and
WHEREAS, public convenience and necessity require the
acquisition of certain real property within the City of Anaheim
for the following purpose, to wit: for municipal purposes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council does find and determine that
public interest and necessity require the acquisition of all
that certain real property herein described, by the City of
Anaheim for municipal purposes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the City of Anaheim that public interest and necessity require
the acquisition of that certain real property situated in the
City of Anaheim, County of Orange, State of California, more
particularly described as follows, to wit:
The southeasterly 150.00 feet of the west 110.00 feet
of that portion of Lot 18 of Anaheim Extension, City
of Anaheim, as per map of Survey made by William Hamel
and filed in the Office of the County Recorder of Los
Angeles County, a copy of which is shown in Book 3,
Page 163, et seq., entitled "Los Angeles County Maps,"
described as follows: Beginning at a point on the
north line of said Lot 18, distant 20.00 feet northeast
of the northwest corner of said lot; thence southeasterly
385.86 feet parallel with and distant 20.00 feet easterly
from the westerly line of said lot; thence northeasterly
508.00 feet parallel with the northerly line of said lot;
thence northwesterly 385.86 feet parallel with the west-
erly line of said lot to the north line thereof; thence
southwesterly 508.00 feet to the point of beginning.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby find and determine that public interest and necessity re-
quire the acquisition of said land by the City of Anaheim for the
aforesaid purposes, and that the taking of the property herein
above described is necessary therefor, and that the uses to which
it is to be put are uses authorized by law, and the taking of
said property is necessary to such uses.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council does
hereby authorize the acquisition of said property by the City
of Anaheim, and the City Attorney of the City of Anaheim is

hereby directed to institute an action in eminent domain for
the acquisition of the title to said property, and to perform
and carry out all of the necessary proceedings and steps incident
to the acquisition of the title to said property and to obtaining
immediate possession thereof.
THE FOREGOING RESOLUTION is approved and signed by me
