63-0869RESOLUTION NO. 63R- 869
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF ANAHEIM ADOPTING A GENERAL PLAN
FOR SAID CITY.
WHEREAS, heretofore on July 15, 1963, and pursuant to
Resolution No. 834, Series 1963 -64, the Planning Commission of
the City of Anaheim adopted a General Plan for the City of
Anaheim and recommended that said plan be adopted by the City
Council of the City of Anaheim; and
WHEREAS, the City Council, after receiving said recom-
mendation, held public hearings as required by law, at which
testimony was taken; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has heretofore carefully
considered all evidence presented concerning said General Plan;
and
WHEREAS, the City Council, as a result of such consider-
ation, finds and determines that said General Plan complies with
all appropriate provisions of law; and
WHEREAS, more particularly the City Council finds and
determines that the General Plan consists, in part, of a Map
which designates the proposed general location and extent of
various land uses within that portion of the City of Anaheim
located north and west of the Santa Ana River; and
WHEREAS, the City Council by this resolution intends
to reaffirm the basic principle of said General Plan that the
location and extent of various land uses, as well as the
boundaries of said uses shown on said Map, are general in nature
and that said boundaries are not to be considered as hard and
fast lines of demarcation; and
WHEREAS, the City Council by this resolution intends
to reaffirm the further basic principle of the General Plan
that said Plan and Map does not constitute zoning of any land
within the City, nor does said Map showing the general distri-
bution and extent of land uses within the City in any manner
indicate what ultimate actual use may be made of said land since
such ultimate actual use is to be determined by future zoning
actions of said City, but rather said Map is to be regarded as
indicating the present belief of the Council as to possible
future development and redevelopment of existing land within
the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council
of the City of Anaheim hereby adopts a General Plan for the
City of Anaheim, and does declare that the General Plan consists
of:
(1) A true and correct copy of the map showing
that area within the City limits of the
City of Anaheim lying north and west of
the Santa Ana River, which map is entitled
