Lincoln in west Anaheim and answered questions from the commission.
6. NEW BUSINESS:
a. Seniors, Families and Youth Needs Assessment Update: - Commissioner Noteboom reported that
she was able to bring back 17 completed needs assessments but received quite a lot of push -back
in her attempts to have her neighbors complete it. Maureen Richardson stated that has been a
problem and she praised Commissioner Noteboom for her accomplishment.
b. Orange County Community Services —Office on Aging Presentation Opportunity —Commissioner
Brio spoke with Marco Rodriguez from the Orange County Office on Aging and inquired about
receiving 50 of the file of life packets to distribute at his Neighborhood Services district meeting.
Mr. Rodriguez stated they would be willing to provide a 45-minute presentation which is an
overview of the programs and services available to older adults and caregivers, and he will bring
the files of life to pass out to the attendees. Commissioner Brio suggested inviting them to come
and make their presentations, and wondered whether having one large presentation or combining
the Neighborhood Districts and having three meetings at the three areas of the city would be best.
Commissioner Noteboom also inquired about the ombudsman program and perhaps having a
presentation about that. After discussion, Commissioner Brio stated he will inquire whether they
can also present information on the ombudsman program and get some ideas about times for the
presentations.
